| Lil' Sara should see this film, maybe her opinions about the 'evil Russian terroristas ' of gulag, block housing, vodka drunks and all other stereotypes that the crazylouco wing of terrans residing within the USA borders hold dear to their hearts can be dismissed.

| I have a vague memory of seeing the live Hong-Kong version of Wicked City prior to watching the Anime version, and liking it. No idea why I got the viewing order switched around, but these things happen. I even remember liking this low-budget sci-fi stuntfest AFTER watching the Anime.

| The action in Alphaville is set in a future where everything is run by the big computer Alpha 60. It's hard to take this film seriously, the futuristic vision is very 1960s: the fear of a computerized society where machines rule with cold rationality and so on. As an example of this vision it is interesting. But Godard doesn't elaborate this future society very much so it is never especially "believable" or consistent. | The comic series Lone Wolf and Cub is one of the most epic, action packed, and respected series of all time. It's influenced many artists and writers, while at the same time been copied by countless people who overdo it more often than not. It quickly got a few movies due to its success, and did fairly well, though there's a lot of criticism that the later installments tried to one-up the first couple volumes (I'll see about that soon enough). | While the movie does live up to its hype, i found it a tad boring, but thank god it was only about an hour. The use of biotechnical persons was different and interesting, but too random with arts that didnt even make sense. 5 if i coulda been on the edge of my seat, if you buy it, have a snack ready. |
