| Chuck in fine form as a crusty sodbuster but a bit dour throughout. Earnest performances help carry it along but it's not quite entertainment, is it ? I don't think I can recommend buying it but should prove a worthwhile curiosity as a Wednesday night rental. |

| This is a fine movie from a veteran couple. The notes on the tumbleweeds, the romote western desert scenery, the stuggles, and the triumphs are classic cowboy poetry put to film. Look for a great old timer in this movie. Of Course, this is a Louis L'Amour story. It is written right and filmed right. |

| I have read multitudes of westerns. I have watched westerns for decades. I like a good cowboy movie with solid characterzation. Crossfire Trail is a movie with humor, drama, and a plain good acting from the entire cast. It is a fine western. Tom Selleck plays a convincing cowboy hero! I would like to see him in more of the same type of films.
