| This was a great movie to see in the theater, which is not a typical thing for me to say, and so it is even better in your own home (although the 61" telly helps), where you can pause it and get up to go to the loo. But it was every bit as amazing and moving and incredible to watch. And even though I knew the end of the film, I was still on the edge of my seat as the ship went to her watery grave. An amazing experience for all ages! |

| Twister is one of my all-time favorite action movies and have watched it more times than I would like to admit.The best transfer on DVD still left alot to be desired.Now,the the transfer on Blu-Ray has been cleaned up and improved dramatically.It's not reference quality,of course,but I give the picture a solid 4 out of 5 for a movie of this age.I can't comment on the new lossless soundtrack because I am unable to decode yet.
Definitely highly recommended even if you have the latest DVD version. |

| I enjoyed this movie in the theater and bought this Blu-Ray disc to see it in high definition. Unfortunately, the Audio on the disc box indicates Dolby Digital TrueHD 5.1. Even the Blu-ray disc menu shows TrueHD as an option, but it doesn't work! I use an Onkyo TX-SR605 receiver to playback the Hi-Def audio like TrueHD and dts-HD. The sound is a big improvement from regular Dolby Digital. For some reason, this option doesn't work with this disk. (Wonder if anyone else experienced this problem???)

| This movie was made for TV and again, it proves that Hollywood could learn a lesson from the small movie makers. This movie blew me away! Okay, so it's not an award winning cast but if you forget "John Boy" is in charge and Charlton Heston's presence is a bit large for a TV movie, this story is one you won't forget. And no matter how many times I see the actual crash footage inserted into this movie, I'm still amazed.

| This may not have won any awards, but it is a great story superbly acted by a stellar cast. Infinitely better than the recent trashy remake. The interplay between the characters is finely done and keeps you hooked from start to finish. Best film of 1965 without a doubt and definitely an important addition to anyone's history of cinema collection. |

| I havent seen this movie since i was a kid. (born in 85) but all i know is this movie creeped me out. I recently picked up the bluray version on black friday, and just finished watching it earlier tonight. I must say the film itself looks very good. I cant say much about audio since im currently without a home theater system, but i will have my new one tomorrow. Here are my thoughts:

| I never saw this when it first came out, & it is perhaps more timely now than 20 years ago............
If you like this genre at all, you may as well get the best. At times, it is hard to watch & you want to look away, but unfortunately, that is the reality of what we live through. In this day & age, even if it is fanciful, it is good to know that these people are on our side! Chuck Norris at his best, bravo! |
