| I thought the artistry was great in this movie, but it's definitely not for youngsters who like claymation. The subject content was pretty morbid, even though the movie ends positively. I was kind of shocked that it was so violently suggestive - it was scary, and I'm an adult. I felt uncomfortable, which is why I don't watch it that often. After seeing this, I am much happier watching his other works like "Wallace and Gromit", which is far more suitable for children. |

| Brilliant. Completely brilliant.
The story. The animation. The dry humor. Wallace's relatively few lines. The penguin's even fewer lines. This is some of the best animation I've ever seen, and, well, ranks right up there with televised entertainment of ANY kind. "It's the wrong trousers! The wrong trousers!" Hilarious. |

| Only Aardman could have come up with a storyline as funny as this one. One of the funniest movies of all time. Not only is the movie very funny but the bonus tracks are hilarious! Well worth the money. Your kids will watch it over and over. |

| The Creature Comforts short is presented in the wrong aspect ratio. It was filmed in FULL FRAME and intended to be seen that way. When compared to the old full frame VHS tape & Laserdisc you will see jokes that are cut off on this letterboxed DVD.
The other shorts are presented in their correct aspect ratios, either full frame or letterboxed as they were produced. |

| This is my favorite Wallace and Gromit adventure, by a close shave over The Wrong Trousers. The characters have more depth, the plot is more complex, there's more dialogue, and Gromit is more emotionally involved and endearing. I think this third installment in the trilogy established Nick Park's brilliance, which led to his ongoing success in feature films. |

| I love Wallace and Gromit and anything by Nick Parks, but A Grand Day Out is my least favorite in the series. If you've never seen a Wallace and Gromit film, I suggest starting with The Wrong Trousers or A Close Shave, both of which are side-splittingly funny and clever, and then moving on to Chicken Run. Grand Day is more atypically subdued and subtle, but it is still good. I could go for some cheese right now, but unlike Wallace, I like mine with fruit. |

| I bought this tape last sunday and I got it today. To the reviews they said that plymptoons would be on it. I watch it the middle I got it and no plymptoons on it.But their was the first Hey Arnold, there was a different in the cartoon they used claymation in the cartoon. Even though there wasn't any plymtoons on it there was great orginal material there. I would give this tape to some-one over the age of 8 because of questionable themes on it,but yet I don't under-stand why this tape is animation for adults stamped ... Read More: |
