VHS : Hawkeye: Siege
Although the Hawkeye series only aired for one season in syndication, I felt that it brought to life a very interesting period in American history. In this episode, Elizabeth (Lynda) and Hawkeye (Lee Horsley) infiltrate a French camp in order to stop them from using a "secret weapon" against British troops. As Elizabeth, Lynda once again gets to play a heroic role (but must rely on her smarts rather than the powers of a superheroine).

I highly recommend this video, along with the other ... Read More:

VHS : Hawkeye: Pilot
I met and married my very own 'Hawkeye' about five years after this show came and went. It was really enjoyable, entertaining TV, oh, so much better than horrible staged 'reality shows' and everything else that's on. Recently my outdoorsy husband was extolling the virtues of Lynda Carter, and I said 'hey -- do you remember that show she was on -- Hawkeye?' Indeed he did! So this will be a fitting anniversary present -- only I wish it were a DVD!!!!

VHS : The X-Files: Pusher/Jose Chung's "From Outer Space"
First off, I'll mention the "other" episode on this tape, "Pusher", by saying that it's an above-average episode. It's the story of a man with a terminal brain tumor, and the tumor has given him the ability to force his will onto other people. He's using this power to get other people to injure or kill themselves, and Mulder and Scully are sent to stop him. The climax is a doozy, as the man forces Mulder to play a deadly game of Russian roullette. But the OTHER episode - "Jose Chung's From Outer Space" is my ... Read More:

VHS : Hawkeye: Furlough
This is the first episode of this series that I had ever seen. The opening scene is a contest of skill in horsemanship, marksmanship and something else that leads to the underlying theme of this episode. I kept wondering as I watched the openning action montage, who played the lead, Hawkeye, AKA Nathaniel Bumpo of the "Leatherstockings" series of books dating back to the days of Melville and Moby Dick (or some time after). I suddenly realized that it was Lee Horsley, who I enjoyed watching in his role ... Read More:

VHS : The X-Files - Small Potatoes/Gethsemane
Small potatoes is the funniest episode I've never seen in the X-Files. David plays two roles in this episode, one is Agent Mulder and the other is Eddie who can change his face to become other people. When Eddie becomes Agent Mulder (played by David), he tries to lure Agent Scully. When they are going to kiss, real Mulder breaks in and ..... You can see many cute fake-Mulder scenes played by David. Very cute. What a pity I cannot show you a picture here. Gethsemane is the last episode in Season Four which ... Read More:

VHS : The X-Files: Humbug/Anasazi
Until recently, I had never seen an episode of "The X-Files" and when I watched a tape with two episodes, I had only a vague idea of what was going on. The storyline was heavily dependent on the context established by previous episodes, so it was difficult to understand.
Happily, that was not the case for the "Humbug" episode. It was very easy to understand and is an example of something that would at first appear impossible. It is an intense murder mystery involving a bizarre serial killer, yet it is also ... Read More:

VHS : The X-Files: Squeeze/Tooms
Mulder and Scully are on the trail of a serial killer with a bizarre M.O. The killer is capable of entering what appears to be a sealed room and removes the livers of the victims. The only clue is a fingerprint that appears to have been made by an impossibly long finger. Mulder and Scully become involved at the point where a fourth murder has taken place and this prompts Mulder to investigate further into the past. By going back in the records, he discovers that there is a pattern of five homicides similar in nature occurring ... Read More:

VHS : Crime Story: The Complete Saga, Part 1 [TV Series Pilot Movie]
When I saw the pilot, I couldn't wait for the series to begin. This is crime fighting at its best. Every character was interesting and the writing was superb! My only regret is that I didn't have the VCR on "record" for the entire series. If anyone does or knows where I can get complete copies of the series on tape, write me back at humbert@midusa.net

VHS : The X-Files - Tempus Fugit/Max
These two eps are my favorites of the entire series, and I'm a huge fan. These two stand out because they capture the best aspects of the series: suspense, surprise, death, a timely topic (a mysterious plane crash and a conspiracy to cover up the true cause), not to mention the requisite UFOs and MIBs. The first part sets up the mystery: a passenger plane crashes and Mulder wants to know why the government is interfering with the investigation. The second part wraps it all up satisfactorily... you aren't left hanging with a bunch of ... Read More:
