VHS : Chariots of Fire
I never saw Chariots of Fire when it was in the theater in the early 80's, but I became interested in it after I saw some of the sites where it was filmed when I was in Scotland recently.

It's based on the true story of the track team of Great Britain in the 1924 Olympics in Paris. Eric Liddell has become one of my heroes -- standing for what you know is right even in the face of incredible pressure and sacrifice.

It's an amazing film!!

VHS : Revolution (1985)
I think its easily the best movie about the American Revolution. The A&E videos of TV pressentations of "The Crossing" and "Benedict Arnold" are also very good. While how good it is is a matter of opinion, anyone who thinks that Gibson's silly movie is better doesn't know much about American history. This movie has the feeling of the 1770s and the criticism of Pacino's and Kinsky's accents is amusing. The residents of the americas came from every corner of the earth and regional accents were numerous. ... Read More:

Saw it at a tender age upon release. It left me shattered and I loved it. Snuggle with a sympathetic partner for this one.

VHS : Greystoke: Legend of Tarzan: Lord of the Apes
I grew up with the Tarzan movies and TV show and read all the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels and this one, "Tarzan, the Legend of Greystoke" is my very favorite of all of them. The storyline and actors are all superb. You can't beat it.

VHS : Chariots of Fire
This is a beautiful film, well directed by Hugh Hudson in his theatrical film debut. It features the true life story of two Olympic runners, Eric Liddell (Ian Charleson) and Harold Abrahams (Ben Cross), who ran for Great Britain in the 1924 Olympic Games and brought home the Gold.

The film tells the story of these two individuals, who are as different from each other as different can be, and explores their personal drive and reasons for running. Eric Liddell is a staunch Scot and a fervid Presbyterian (He would put John Knox to ... Read More:

VHS : My Life So Far
Gamma Macintosh's grand estate in the Scottish Highlands is the idyllic home of spunky Fraser Pettigrew, his eccentric, sphagnum moss-loving father, beautiful mother, and all his brothers and sisters. When Fraser is ten, his uncle brings his young fiancé to the meet the family; Fraser loses some of his innocence and the family dynamics begin to change.

Based on the childhood of a British media mogul and seen through his young eyes, "My Life" is a very gentle, very real slice-of-life story. Though nothing terribly unusual or exciting ... Read More:
