| I purchased this movie for a friend from the Amazon market place seller and was holding my breath waiting to see what kind of shape a movie this old would be in when it arrived in my mailbox but to my surprise, it arrived in near mint condition. So my friend, who doesn't live near me, asked me to view the movie to make sure it was okay, I said "sure why not?, I hadn't seen it since it aired on TV, I'll give it a whirl!".

| Often in film when the main character has a troubled, painful past she is either portrayed as an "unattractive" cat lover or a raving psychotic man-hater--or both. This (thankfully) is not the case in the surprisingly sympathetic "Scissors."
While the plot is certainly not that original, the characterization just reached out and grabbed me. Sharon Stone, a victim of her own beauty since she seems to be valued more for her looks than her talent, is perfectly suited for the role she takes ... Read More: |

| This is one of my husband's and my favorite movies. We have the VHS. Unfortunately, there is no DVD, yet ... but we will replace our tape as soon as one becomes available. (For one reason: we've almost worn out the tape!)
Like "Somewhere in Time" and "Time after Time", this movie has a twist at the end. Delicious! If you can't afford to purchase (I see it's still pretty much the original pricing) at least try to rent it. One of our top 10 faves. |
