| I have loved this film since the first time I saw it on cable over 10 years ago. Not only did it remind me of my own first experiences with Alaska more than 20 years ago, but the classic "seat of your pants" approach to the journey (it's not where you're going, but how you get there that matters) is something everyone should experience in their lives.

| Usually, watching a film adaptation of a book or story is a letdown. But in the case of Legends Of The Fall I'd have to say it is advisable to read the story before watching the film as it is helpful in understanding the motivations of the characters, even though the film differs greatly from the novella.

| It's too bad that this profound, thought-provoking film was released at the wrong time since it fell under the radar due to protests from various Arab & Islamic organizations condemning it for being racist. Since 9/11, all of the points made in the film have come to be painfully true and perhaps Fox should do well to re-release this film to the general public.
