| It is sad that this movie can't be released on DVD? When movies that are absolute waste of time and money are being released daily. I love this movie, it had me threw the whole picture.

| Filmed in 1975, "Lifeguard" relays the story of an aging L.A. lifeguard (Sam Elliott) during the summer of '75. He suffers an early mid-life crisis when his friends and family continually reveal their disappoval of his career choice. This is heightened when he attends his 15-year high school reunion where he reunites with a recently-divorced ex-flame (Anne Archer). | I am not a great fan of 70's or 80's movies, but my sister is. She was very happy to get this one and she suggested me to watch it. What can I say- It was amazing how close to the truth it was. It tells one of those stories when sometimes in relationship love isn't enough preserve it. I once lived in small village in the country before my parents moved to the city and this movie amazingly close shows the environment in that village. | Although not for everybody, this film gives us insight into the struggles of Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob the founders of AA. I think the acting was excellent. The characters were portrayed wonderfully by James Woods and James Garner. I learned a lot from this film and would recommend it to anybody who is involved in a 12 step program or works with recovery. |

| I saw this film on TV years ago and it has always remained with me. I especially remember some quiet moments towards the end, and the lovely Cornwall landscape. And, of course, the great Susan Hayward, a truly fine actress. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THIS FILM HAS NOT YET BEEN REALEASED ON DVD. It is indeed time for us to have a remastered, double feature DVD of BACK STREET and STOLEN HOURS on the market. |

| This is a brilliant performance by Sally Field.I dont think i have ever seen anyone put on a more convincing performance than what she did in this movie.You realy feel the emotion for this person as she has been torn apart mentally by her mother.The unspeakable crimes that were committed against this person makes you shudder to think it could have been done at all.But how she coped with it is stunning,she developed a multiple personality disorder.All designed to take her mind away from the physical and emotional torture her mother gave her.
