| Okay. SPIDER-MAN was a smash in the Summer of 2002, so naturally Columbia Pictures and Marvel wanted a sequel. How could they possibly top themselves?

| Due to lack of advertising, I didn't see this movie til a few years after its release when a good friend of mine bought it for me and I'm very glad he did. This movie is up there with my top favorite movies. Buy this movie, you won't be disappointed...and if you are, I doubt it'll take you long to find a new owner for your Boondock Saints. |

| The Last Temptation of Christ is not quite a weird movie. If you're expecting profound blasphemy and other good stuff, this is actually tame like a punk that bought all their outfit at Hot Topic. For one thing, the movie dares show Jesus might have had a different mind than most people, one prone to breakdown that might lead him to imagine he's God. | Spider-man is a hugely popular film franchise, and it's not without good reason. The first film is great with good acting, great special effects and music, and a great starting point for the story. | This is a completely different film to its predecessor, Patriot Games - not necessarily better or worse, but its tone and direction are much more different, and its use of Ryan certainly is. We see far more of James Earl Jones' character Greer in this movie, and that is a good thing: he is a strong figure, a mentor and a sounding-board for Ryan, and watching his decline and death brings both counterpoint and perspective to the other on-screen events.
