| Well as a former US Army Tanker, I am writing this from that view. I had the privilege of serving with good soldiers, who on one occassion watched this movie together, as a company. The critisicm never ended.
I do like the actors in this movie, but the background, tactics and overall unit organizations shown in this picture, were pitiful. I can understand the equipment that had to be used to film this picture, but the dialogue could of been much more based on military reality. I feel that all the sides protrayed ... Read More: |

| As a young Air Force corpsman stationed at Clark airbase during the filming of Merrill's Marauders, I had the opportunity to be on the set several times as the "resident" medical person in case of an accident or injury and had a short scene in the film with Andy Dugan that ended up on the cutting room floor. I met all the stars and had a ball. Besides, I got paid $20 per day and they served a great box lunch. One of the blogs I have read says that the extras were members of the Army Special Forces. | This was the first movie I saw when I was a kid. I was almost seven at
the time and it was on a double bill with "The Sword and The Stone." My mum dropped my two sisters and myself off at the Altantic Theater in Long Beach, California and this movie played first. I can't tell you a thing about the Disney movie, but I remember just about every scene from Palm Springs Weekend. | If you don't like disaster movies then steer clear of this made for T.V. offering, as there is nothing here you would like, but if you love these films then you will find something here worth the price. Like i said nothing new just all the stock people trapped in all the same ways as other movies like this , but keeps you involved and has action to spare. |

| "Berserk!" is perhaps one of Joan's worst films of the 60's and the very worst suspense/horror film she ever made. The story is so over-the-top. Joan plays Monica Rivers, a lady ringmaster who decides to milk the publicity from a string of strange murders. The movie is still not totally worthless. Joan always gave a great performance no matter how ludicrous the script was and this is certainly no exception. This movie totally reminds me of another one of Joan's cult-classics, Johnny Guitar. | Vietnam vet Mac (Michael Dudikoff) is stuck with a dimwit high schooler (Stephen Dorff) on the chase to rescue an even bigger dimwit cheerleader (annoying girl). Poor lordage has made sacrifices before by rescuing a wannabe ninja, rescuing soldiers and now rescuing a girl who no one should care about. A rare comic genius performance from Michael Dudikoff. "Rescue Me" is a charmer, but it would've been better if Mac took care of business ninja style. This needs to be released on DVD right now, so please MGM! |
