I am very surprised that this movie had this high ratings. I may agree with others on the right casting, but this was not my genre. I mean, I love watching ballet but I hated to see ballet connected with divorce, alcohol, sexual relationships before marriage, jealous, mean words and actions, and swearing words. It was a very ugly movie with a beautiful ballet. The dance was exquisite but I didn't enjoy it at all because I didn't like the characters at all. When my daughter covered her ears, I had ... This movie is a must see for all those who think that they can get rich quick. It is also an excellent movie with Ellen Burstyn giving a great performance. I first saw it on HBO, but have not seen it anywhere else. I had to include it in my collection. I thought that what Olive went through was a horrible experience and was in awe that she survived at all.

"Harold and Maude" is a romantic, darkly comic fantasy about two eccentric souls who briefly find in each other love and companionship. Young Harold is obsessed with death, attending funerals and staging suicide-themed vignettes starring none other than himself. Mother tries to cure him of his eccentricities by finding a computer date for him; Uncle feels the military will shape him up. A Freudian psychiatrist offers counsel as does a lecherous priest. All to no avail. Harold, pale and a little creased around ... Read More:

Looking back in time modern science fiction had one of its main scientists, writers, philosophers and visionaires in one name: Carl Sagan, the author of the novel in which is based the movie.

The making of the movie gives a very near and sub-realistic intent in the searching of "green littles", all right that maybe means "live in Mars", "Aliens" or just "ET's" but in a very intelligent secuence. Jodie Foster who interprets the scientist Eleanor Arroway and in along the movie is the principal character (since ... Read More:

In general, I don't like Emilio Estevez's brat pack films, but this isn't about brat pack. Along with Maximum Overdrive, he plays the hero/antihero role well. Most Americans could identify with the economic problems facing the farmers who John Wisdom was trying to help. Wisdoms methods were at first shocking, however, in this day and age, shock is the only way of gettng past the largely ignorant, jaded media, more interested in Britney Spears lack of hair than the fact that we are importing 800 billion dollars more than we export ... I was the location manager on this project. The big ranch house is the same one used in McLintock. Located about 80 miles from Tucson in the San Rafael Valley, the owner at the time was a very nervous lady called Mrs. Sharp. I remember the first time I took Blake Edwards and his entourage there (which included his wife, Julie Andrews)to see if it could work for the film and get permission from Mrs. Sharp. She and I had been good friends for awhile since I had used her place before in films. During the meeting, she ask me to go to the kitchen ... Read More:
