| I could easily have given this movie five stars on the acting alone. But I had to take out one star for a few inaccuracies in the movie plus the movie left out certain elements in his life that I felt were important(like his speech to the Africans in Africa that the blacks in America had the same struggle that they had) but dont mistake my tone because I still recommend it flaws and all.

| But in the meantime can ONLY be found on a Out Of Print (And expensive) VHS (Video Tape). Like the Movie "Sparkle" there was NEVER a Soundtrack Album released???? BOTH would be nice (Even in CD Format). A First Class Movie that is well deserving of being released on DVD Format. Strange there wasn't even a sequel....It's still not too late to gather these great actors to do a 2007/2008 sequel.....Something SOMEONE should think about. | In High School I had to read Howard Fast's novel "Freedom Road" and thought it was very good and had me reading it in one setting. I watched the "mini-series" when it came on, and while I enjoyed it I felt the acting wasn't very good and felt that Muhammad Ali wasn't quite ready to be an actor and wasn't the best choice to play in this. Other than the acting(I felt the whole cast wasn't into the movie like they should have been) that this was just fine. |

| I Think this was a good comedy and it has a good storyline too.
Eddie was at the top of his game and working his way to the top in WASHINGTON. Move over Obama my vote goes to Eddie for PRESIDENT!! I rate this move a 8 from 1to10!! |

| I saw this movie many years ago, and am hoping that it will be released on DVD in the near future. It opens with a family awaiting a visit from the maternal grandmother who lives in the deep south. The family resides in an inner city apartment building. Thought the family is intact (two loving, employed parents), there is a hint of problems with the elder son who is being influenced by the wrong elements. | Malcolm X is an essential figure in American history and Morgan Freeman is fine actor, but this movie just didn't work for me. If you know the basic story and events of his life, this movie doesn't really tell you anything new. Why make a movie of only the last 24 hours of his life? There is so much to be learned in the years before that. I recommend the Spike Lee film and the Autobiography of Malcolm X instead. They will tell you much more about the dimension of the man than this short film can. |
