VHS : Tomorrow Never Dies
The final half hour is an overwrought shoot out aboard a stealth craft that is too long by 25 minutes. Nothing happens except a lot of fake bullets fly endlessly. Otherwise, the plot, thinly disguised as a spoof on Rupert Murdoch, involves the usual megalomaniac -in this case, a media mogul - bent on creating world havoc for his own gain. Brosnan is cool in the early going, and the opener, involving an arms bazaar and a nuclear bomb carrying jet fighter is great, as usual with Bond films. The story line overall ... Read More:

So Bond may be a "dinosaur" but he took a slight evolutionary step forward with Pierce Brosnan who at the time seemed born to play Bond. So it was the 90s, the coldwar had thawed out, so-called political correctness was in the air and so what's a "sexist", coldwar warrior, relic of the 1960s to do? Well, pretty much what he's always done. Because really the world hadn't changed so much that women don't no longer go for cocky, smooth talking alpha-males (no matter how p.c. things get) and governments don't use remorseless ... VHS : Miss Marple: Murder Is Announced
I've seen most of the Joan Hickson Marple movies and this is definitely one of, if not THE, best. All the elements of a good murder mystery. You will suspect nearly everyone of being the murderer at some point. Highly intriguing and entertaining!

I rented this (thank the gods I didn't buy it) based on the reviews here. Wow . . . really bad movie. Trite. Unsatisfying. I'm searching for words to express how much I disliked this show. Look, I'm a HUGE period-piece fanatic. I wouldn't recommend even renting it.

Excellent adaptation. I dislike, very much, when a teleplay strays from the story you already know and love. It disturbs me greatly when a story is so rushed. This story is not so rushed and allows the imagination to play along. I am so happy that I heeded to the 5 star reviews instead of the 1 stars. Hero and heroine are not especially handsome, but are very normal and fine looking to be sure.

10.The World is Not Enough starring: Pierce Brosnan, Sophie Marceau, Robert Carlyle, Denise Richards, Robbie Coltrane

VHS : The World is Not Enough
Brosnan's third Bond movie, The world is Not Enough, is high on action but weak on plot. Robert Carlyle is a pretty good villain but his motivations seem a bit unclear. Sophie Marceu is also very good as the main Bond girl, while Denise Richards' performance is weak and she's completely miscast. Leonard Maltin wrote that the movie makes M (Judi Dench) seem foolish, and he's right. From the earlier movies, I took her to be a bright woman, but in this one she's unbelievably stupid, considering she's the head of an intelligence agency (no pun intended).

I wish they had done some ... Read More:
