I own the VHS Copie of this Movie, and I must say it is a classic. I'm very disappointed to see that people are trying to sell this movie for as much as $158.00. I think that's a little outragious and no wonder why people go out and download these movies illegally. I'd probably do the same. Also when you want to put that $ sign down at a reasonable price, then you might get a sale. Untill then, I won't Pay that much for a dvd. Period!!

D-day had failed. Kennedy is president, Joseph sr. that is, not John. Hitler is about to celebrate his 75th birthday. That was all the exposition I needed. It's springtime for Hitler in Germainia. We lost. It is the early 60's & the cold war has taken a hard left turn from what we know happen. The Germans are still fighting the Russians. Hitler wants a peace treaty with The United States. It is about to happen. President Kennedy is coming to Berlin & bringing a lot of reporters. One problem: ... Read More:

VHS : The 10th Kingdom (Extended Play Version)
I'd read the book The 10th Kingdom a long time ago and just loved it. It was a great fantasy book -- one that I'd recommend for anyone into this type of genre.

I bought this DVD set about a week ago, thinking it too would become a favorite of mine (based on all the good reviews here on Amazon as well as a stellar review from a friend of mine). I have to say, though, that I was supremely disappointed by the quality of this film! Most of the acting was embarrassingly bad and the script wasn't ... Read More:

VHS : Nostradamus
Working from the sketchy historical details that are known about him, and taking a certain amount of dramatic license, the film "Nostradamus" chronicles the life of Michel de Nostredame (Tcheky Karyo), who came to be known more for his prophecies than for his work as a physician and an apothecary toiling against the ravages of plague-decimated 16th Century Europe.

Nostradamus was born into a Jewish family that converted to Christianity in order to escape the religious persecution of the Inquisition. ... Read More:

VHS : Soldier of Orange
So said the queen then and so it became. This film is one of the great half dozen or so masterpieces of film from the 20th Century. It's no secret that Mr. Hauer is considered the European "James Dean" of his generation and perhaps the most intelligent actor ever from Dutch Cinema. The innovation and pure poetry of "Orange" from the insertion of Hauer into old newsreels, to the delicate embroidery of repetive music has been endlessly copied but never reproduced. A great film has to have transcendant scenes and this ... Read More:

VHS : Inside the Third Reich
This movie is one of my favorites. It runs 4 hours so you have to have time available to view it all. The show starts out showing some of the horrors of the holocaust and some of the death and destruction caused by World War II. Let the squeamish beware.

No question, this miniseries comes from the early-1980's and is limited by special effects and budget available at the time. By comparison, "Hitler: The Rise of Evil," from 2003, is as good if not better. Still, if one pays attention to the main story and the performances ... Read More:

VHS : Deadlock (1991)
I'd like to see this one on DVD. It's a pretty good movie.

The idea behind it is extremely clever. Rutger Hauer (who was so hauntingly dangerous in _Blade Runner_ and so terrifyingly menacing in _The Hitcher_) is here cast somewhat against type as an electronics wizard who is enlisted into a diamond heist by a beautiful woman (Joan Chen) and then double-crossed. Off he goes to an experimental maximum-security prison.

The really clever bit is how the prison works. There are no walls holding the prisoners in; instead, each prisoner ... Read More:
