| The picture quality in Blu-ray version is absolutely stunning!! This is how all transfers to high def should be. With a calibrated a TV you will be blown away with its inky blacks and spot on colors.
The finest BD I've to date. Buy this just to show off your rig and if you like the movie then just consider it a bonus. |

| This movie does have a refreshing philosophical perspective, but it's not executed well. A lot of the dialogue is plodding or obvious. The characters have no chemistry, relationship twists seem surreal, and the waste and extravagance is enormous for so called "enlightened" souls.
The movie is too long and repetitive and ultimately predictable. |

| Having finally seen 'Twenty-One', it struck me how much of air of melancholy hangs over the film - even ennui. It's almost as if the film represents a kind of quiet, bittersweet recognition that the 'freedom' and 'individualism' promised by the Conservative regime of the 1980s turned out to be cold comfort, after the various shades of grey offered by state socialism had become 'so last century!'. | Albert Finney is superb, as always. Supporting cast are also very believable. The story line is not complex, but allows/requires the viewer to do a bit of interpretation. Good human drama. |

| This rendition of the classic tale is so convincing you feel as though this could have actually happened.
The insane king, the woman who faces death to save him, and of course, the magical tales beautiful woven into a wonderful film. The shots and special effects truly transport you to the time frame of the story. Filled with action and an incredible acting cast, this is a wonderful movie. | This is the best telling of the story of the downfall of Troy that I have ever watched... including that blockbuster "Troy" which starred Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom. It may not be as visually stunning as that high-budget version, but it does an amazing job telling a lot more of the legend. It starts out with Paris's birth and continues all the way through to the end of the war (though, thankfully most of the war years are breazed over in a few minutes). :)
