Can some genius at Warner Bros (who now owns these great MGM titles) tell me why this in not out on DVD and yet other films are on their 3 or 4 editions????

VHS : High Road to China
"High Road to China" is a classic. It had a great cast and good directing. The movie had action, adventure, comedy, danger, romance, and history. Tom Selleck is at his best. Bess Armstrong gives a stellar performance; as do Jack Weston, Wilford Brimley, et al. As with his movies, T.S's presence on the silver screen, doesn't overpower the other actors/actresses. It is a crime against good films not to view it, let alone not to own it !

I first saw this series while living in Japan as a child. Ever since, I dreamed of living on a ranch. I loved the book also, which I read after watching the series. I'll always remember the Crown V fondly, especially now that I've married into a cattle ranching family. :)

This is an excellent series for children over the age 10. There's enough adventure for all ages. The characters through the decades resonate throughout the whole series. It makes me want to read the book again.

4.Northwest Passage starring: Spencer Tracy, Robert Young, Walter Brennan, Ruth Hussey, Nat Pendleton

This film is still not on dvd, and it should be. This movie is really a guilty preasure, in that, it is all the things a movie should not be. Historically inacurrate, and all Hollywood from the get go. But, that was the way it was until audiances became too sufficiated for bad directing. Despite all that, I love this movie, because of those reasons. The truth would only paint Tracys character much differently, and we might end up hating the hero more then the indians. There are many lines in this film ... Read More:

VHS : The Incredible Hulk (Animated Series)
83 minutes in four episodes of the Incredible Hulk's animated series is just not enough value for your dollar. Buy this only if your child absolutely loves the Hulk and is too young to watch the PG-13 rated live action film, The Incredible Hulk, starring Edward Norton. Check my review of that DVD (good movie but absolutely not for little kids).

I game a similar review to the first animated DVD from The Spectacular Spider-Man, the new series from the WB. You should get more for your money than 3 ... Read More:

This film is one of the most unusual and touching romances ever filmed. The movie will carry you away into a romantic fantasy where you will be touched by the heartfelt story. Just a simple, yet beautiful film.

VHS : Rachel and the Stranger
This is a wonderful movie, and I'm surprised that it hasn't been put on DVD seeing as it has three great stars - Loretta Young, William Holden, and Robert Mitchum. A good story of unfolding love and devotion in pioneer times. PLEASE PUT THIS ON DVD!

8.Gallant Hours starring: Raymond Bailey, Robert Burton, James Cagney, Richard Carlyle (II), Ward Costello

Great performance by Cagney. As everyone else has mentioned - with so many BAD war movies out - where's the DVD of this?

9.20,000 Leagues Under the Sea starring: Kirk Douglas, James Mason, Paul Lukas, Peter Lorre, Robert J. Wilke

VHS : 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Disney's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" is a robust adventure movie, filled to the brim with visuals ranging from awe-inspiring to bizarre, wall-to-wall excitement, and a constant air of intrigue and wonderment. Even in the hands of the Walt Disney Studios, there was plenty of room for the production to falter. Jules Verne's classic novel features deep characterizations and drips with mystery, and the pressure to soften the story in order to appeal to younger audiences was surely intense. Thankfully, Walt Disney and director ... Read More:

VHS : Mortal Storm
This WWII political drama starring Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullavan, along with very young Robert Stack, Dan Dailey, Robert Young and of course, the Wizard of Oz, Frank Morgan, who is fabulous in this dramatic role, has been overlooked by the wizards of Hollywood. Due to the overall excellence of the film, great acting and wonderful scenes of Jimmy and Margaret "skiing" in the Alps at night, it should be listed, at least, as one of the best 100 films.
