| This is a true story about a woman who was driven to the point of insanity because of an abusive husband. The movie is set during a day and age where there was no help for the abused. | Encino Man starring Sean Astin, Pauly Shore, and Brendan Fraser is silly stupid even to this day. This is a film you can't take seriously, you will either love or loathe this playful comedy. Fraser and Astin are good actors but Shore... well he's not that talented. Encino Man is definitely a guilty pleasure, enjoy in secret. |

Because I saw the movie via DVD rental . From my local Blockbuster video rental store. The story I thought is very good. unlike most horror movie's /which I'm a big fan of the genra. This movie has a very good story to it. | 20 years ago (1988) I caught this movie in $0.99 double feature local cinemas in Portland OR. Didn't expect much, but as soon as the lights go out the fun starts. It is funny from beginning to end. 20 years later (2008) I bought this online and since quite familiar with the movie contents, I decided to watch it with Audio commentary (Director Greg Beeman and script Neil Tonkin) and what a blast.
