VHS : Sometimes a Great Notion
i paid $26 plus S&H for a VHS tape that does not play well, the video fades in and out, goes completely white at times, and is of poor quality. In it's present form it is not even worth trying to watch it again. I was greatly disappointed in watching it...

2.Love Among the Ruins starring: Katharine Hepburn, Laurence Olivier, Colin Blakely, Richard Pearson, Joan Sims

VHS : Love Among the Ruins
I just received my VHS the other day, it was purchased here on Amazon.com. I was unbelievably satisfied, it's the best movie I've seen in a long time. First of all the cast is brilliant Katharine Hepburn and Sir Laurence Olivier, can you get any better? If you are a fan of classic movies you must see this!

3.The Jericho Mile starring: Peter Strauss, Richard Lawson, Roger E. Mosley, Brian Dennehy, Geoffrey Lewis

VHS : The Jericho Mile
Peter Strauss for a very short time after Rich Man, Poor Man was one of the coolest and most sought after actors of the time, especially for TV movies. If you don't remember the Movie of the Week the you never heard of this great flick, and Peter Strauss was awesome as a convict doing hard time that found his escape on the track.

I haven't seen this movie since it first aired, but I remember it as one of the better TV movies of all time. Great story, great performances. Just give us the damn ... Read More:

VHS : The Man in The Iron Mask: Literary Masterpieces
No offence to DiCaprio but Richard Chamberlain's duel role of "The Man in the Iron Mask" was definitely better. It amazes me only foreign versions of this on DVD are available. Why not a Region 1 version? Chamberlain did three wonderful Dumas classics, this "The Count of Monte Cristo", and "The Three Musketeers". The first two are not available on Region 1 DVDs after all these years. Great movie that I highly recommend for the whole family. Let's hope someone like Criterion gets the rights for both Chamberlain's ... Read More:

VHS : Capitol Conspiracy
Another facinating Corman flick features basically a combination of Jackie Chan and hardcore action violence. It also features my favorite actor of all that had ever starred in these type of Corman movie, Rick Dean ("Carnosaur 2 & 3").

7.Poltergeist starring: JoBeth Williams, Heather O'Rourke, Craig T. Nelson, Beatrice Straight, Dominique Dunne
directed by: Tobe Hooper

VHS : Poltergeist
I saw this movie as a kid when it first came out and it scared me to death. It played on all my childhood fears (monsters in the closet, attacking trees, and creepy clowns!). As an adult, obviously it is not so scary but still well made, humorous at times, and entertaining. I liked it enough that I wanted to add it to our home movie collection to enjoy over and over. I recommend it to anyone who likes a good ghost story.

8.Main Event (1979) starring: Barbra Streisand, Ryan O'Neal, Paul Sand, Whitman Mayo, Patti D'Arbanville
directed by: Howard Zieff
December 06, 1993
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Main Event (1979)
The Main Event is a not particularly funny star vehicle reuniting Barbra Streisand and Ryan O'Neal as a broke perfume mogul and the hopeless boxer who is her sole remaining asset. It's no What's Up, Doc?, but it's pleasant enough, coasting on the stars' likeability and offering just enough funny moments for you to feel you're not entirely wasting your time. However, the vintage making of documentary on the DVD (which includes a lengthy deleted scene) really gives away how much times have changed, as O'Neal and the screenwriters ... Read More:

9.A.P.E.X. starring: Richard Keats, Mitchell Cox, Lisa Ann Russell, Marcus Aurelius, Adam Lawson

IMDb gives this movie 4.0/10. For those unacquainted with their scale, anything below a 7 is very poor, and anything below a 6 is scraping the bottom of the barrel. To compare, Halloween 5 received 4.4, and Cannibal Holocaust a 6.1. The plot is terrible, the acting is terrible, and the script is one of the worst I've come across. There is not a single redeeming feature to this movie.

It will be enjoyed by masochists and prepubescent boys.

10.Scream Blacula Scream starring: William Marshall, Don Mitchell, Pam Grier, Michael Conrad, Richard Lawson
