| he only thing that I don't like about these Disney DVDs is that they're all SO expensive!!!
Some new DVDs are 15 bucks, but the Disney ones are always 19 bucks +. I don't understand it. Can't a kid buy a Disney DVD for 15 or so bucks anymore? Guess that answer is NO. Disney's "The Little Mermaid" mostly takes place in the sea. Ariel, who is 16, is very stubborn and headstrong, and disobeys her Father, King Triton at every opportunity. She's lovely ... | Don't take this movie too seriously and you'll just love it. I've watched it every year for years. I agree that it should be released on DVD; the prices for VHS are too high for a medium that tears up easily. The storyline, about a singing star who escapes back to the area she came from to get away from showbiz, is cute but it's Dolly who makes the part. The kids are adorable and I personally think that John Ritter has the best small part he ever played. He just shines (and amuses you) as a judge. ... Read More: |

| Monster Squad and other comical, horror films are out on DVD. It took 20 years for Monster Squad. How about digitally remaster in DVD for this little Gem. Almost slapstick comedy, but so much fun to watch, but not on schratchy VHS. Please bring this one out of the vaults. |

| Every time this movie aired on tv I watched it and loved every minute of it! I searched looking for it on DVD but it's not yet available much to my dismay! Such a great movie deserves a great dvd release! The 5 stars are for the movie itself not the vhs issue. |

| I'm not a big fan of King Kong, but I have seen all three films: 1933, 1976, and 2005. The original 1933 film is a classic in its own right. The 2005 remake could've been better, but it had its moments. And right in the middle, the first 1976 remake is a love-or-hate motion picture. There are no dinosaurs, no chewing on natives, and no famous T-rex fight, which makes it a bit less exciting. Unlike the others, which are set in 1933, this one is set in the 70's.
