Can some genius at Warner Bros (who now owns these great MGM titles) tell me why this in not out on DVD and yet other films are on their 3 or 4 editions????

I did it. I bought a Disney movie -- I mean a kids-oriented one. And then... I actually showed it to my kids (first I watched it again, just to make sure).

This is so totally out of character for me, that it *does* deserve a gasp of surprise.

Because Disney. DISNEY! No positive male role-models DISNEY! Every male character is a fool, a tool, a slob, or a villain DISNEY! Forget about little boys, because only girls are celebrated DISNEY! And yes, I still think that is the case ... Read More:

VHS : Thrill of It All
This is a fabulous movie. Great plot, cute kids, clean humor (even the adult parts) without being cheesy and old fashioned. This is my absolute favorite Doris Day movie. Every actor, including the kids, pulls it off so believably. I highly recommend this movie for every Doris Day or James Garner fan and even those who aren't.

VHS : Green Dolphin Street
"Green Dolphin Street" is one of those cheesefests of Hollywood's Golden Age that has slipped into obscurity. At least "Black Narcissus",the camp classic, has its own Criterion Edition. Why NOT the love triangle set in New Zealand, with its needlessly complicated plot and Lana Turner in her fantastical outfits?

"Green Dolphin Street" is all about two sisters who live on the Channel Islands between England and France. There's the good girl, Marguerite (Donna Reed), and the bad grrrrl Marianne (Lana Turner). ... Read More:

I love this movie!Since I was around 5 or 6 years old, this film has been one of my favorites. The original book is a timeless classic for all ages.Out of all the film adaptations, this one is tied with the Hallmark one as my favorite. It perfectly recreates the eerie feel of the manor and the moors it is built upon. The black and white appearance of the film are made for this type of piece. Also, when the film switches to technicolor for the garden scenes, the effect is stunning. It makes for a seamless transition from the somber ... We very much enjoyed this movie. Gregory Peck is a strong actor in this movie, as he was in his other movies. It follows the family business via the one adult child in the family actively involved. Highly recommend.

10.Above Suspicion (1943) starring: Joan Crawford, Fred MacMurray, Conrad Veidt, Basil Rathbone, Reginald Owen

VHS : Above Suspicion (1943)
I really love this movie. "Above Suspicion" was Joan's final studio-system picture for MGM and her final feature movie until her worldwide hit, "Mildred Pierce." In this picture, Joan plays Frances Myles or Mrs. Edward Smith. This is a fast-moving, war-era movie involving a newlywed couple (Joan and Fred Mcmurray) as they play spies in Europe. Sadly, Joan always hated this movie, when asked about it many years later she only said: no prize for this one either.
