VHS : Pretty Woman
One of those movies you watch every time it comes on television because it's so cute, yet one of those movies you're almost ashamed to adore because it has almost no redemptive features; `Pretty Woman' has become an instant classic for almost no reasons at all. Sure, it's cute, but so aren't a lot more respectable films.

Oh yeah, I forgot; Julia Roberts is amazing here.

So, that answers all questions doesn't it? Why do we love this movie? We love it because it gave us ... Read More:

VHS : Sunrise at Campobello
Ralph Bellamy and (to a lesser degree) Greer Garson won plaudits for the amazing way they sunk themselves into their roles as FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt; and Hume Cronyn is also very good, but for sheer professionalism acting honors go to Jean Hagen for her no-nonsense take as FDR's private secretary and aide-du-chambre Missy Le Hand. I wonder what Eleanor thought of this portrayal by Hagen of her hated rival, Missy, with whom FDR became romantically involved (though this isn't touched on in the film)? ... Read More:

VHS : Hands Across the Table
Hands Across the Table is a fun little film about a gold digging manicurist named Regi (Carole Lombard). She meets a rich man, a cripple who adores her company. Because of his inability to walk, she disregards him as a love interest, but she does spill her problems to him. One of them begins when she meets Theodore Drew III (Fred MacMurray), a formally rich man who lost his fortune in the stock market crash. Now he and Regi are in the same boat, hoping to marry for money. But they have another thing in common; they're ... Read More:

VHS : Oh God
I've always enjoyed this film but never got around to buying it until now. George Burns' performance is excellent - humorous but with a point.

5.Court Martial of Billy Mitchell starring: Gary Cooper, Charles Bickford, Ralph Bellamy, Rod Steiger, Elizabeth Montgomery
directed by: Otto Preminger

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Court Martial of Billy Mitchell
An entertaining and well-made film with good acting especially Rod Steiger's performance. The ARTISAN DVD is below average; the 2.35:1 CinemaScope is not enhanced for 16:9 TVs, the color is just OK, the picture is not quite sharp, and there is some background noise.

6.Wolf Man (1941) starring: Claude Rains, Warren William, Ralph Bellamy, Patric Knowles, Bela Lugosi
directed by: George Waggner
March 01, 1992
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Wolf Man (1941)
Ok, this is another Universal monster movie, but an excellent one! The money spent on this production was pretty hefty. Claude Rains, Ralph Bellamy, Lon Chaney Jr. and others. Wow! Poor Lon Chaney Jr. loves a girl but gets attacked by a wolf. Poor guy, he ends up having some really sleepless nights when a full moon appears. What to do? Maybe Bela Legosi as a gypsy can help? Or that lady gypsy, does she know anything?

7.The Professionals starring: Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan, Woody Strode, Jack Palance
directed by: Richard Brooks
May 29, 1987
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : The Professionals
Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan and Woody Strode make this flick great. Hired by a train baron to bring back his kidnapped wife, they soon find that all is not what it seems. The acting is terse and intense and, for all the twists and turns, you're still left wondering what happens next when the movie ends. Not a lot of gunfights and explosions, although there's enough to satisfy. Instead, it's the mental game of cat and mouse that takes the forefront here and delivers pretty good.

8.To Sleep With Anger starring: Danny Glover, Paul Butler, DeVaughn Nixon, Mary Alice, Reina King
directed by: Charles Burnett
January 07, 1997

VHS : To Sleep With Anger
To Sleep With Anger was slept on. Outstanding performances by Danny Glover, Paul Butler and Mary Alice. A grown folks film for intelligent grown folk. Recommended by the Doc.

9.Awful Truth starring: Irene Dunne, Cary Grant, Ralph Bellamy, Alexander D'Arcy, Cecil Cunningham
directed by: Leo McCarey

VHS : Awful Truth
This is a very sweet Cary Grant and Irene Dunne comedy. A couple with differences decide to divorce but can't seem to get it through their heads that their marriage will be ending. Lots of fun.

10.Footsteps in the Dark starring: Errol Flynn, Brenda Marshall, Ralph Bellamy, Alan Hale, Lee Patrick

VHS : Footsteps in the Dark
This is a delightful presentation of the charming Errol Flynn. He's his normal carefree self with the twist of a author/mystery solving (on the side)character. It's nice seeing him in a current up to date movie. I love the relationship between all the people in the movie. Brenda Marshall is wonderful as his wife who is clueless as to what he's up to. I could watch this movie over and over again. I feel like we are seeing the real Errol Flynn, I'm not sure why but he's very believable in this role.
