| How can you not like a movie with a pencil-thin mustache exchange right before David Anthony Higgins is killed? Not even close to being a 90210 fan, but Priestley totally won me over with his nonchalant callousness. Please, studio exec, read this and put it on dvd. |

| This is a beautifully-done movie about a heartbreaking situation with no easy answers. I won't spoil it for you, but this is a movie which challenges every viewer to ask themselves, "what would I do, given the same situation?"
The final scene is absolutely haunting and will stay with me for a long time. You are left with this instinctive reaction to judge the characters for their choices -- both sides, all sides -- until you stop to think, "what if it were me? What would I do?" | I have read around thirty of the reviews written for this film and all of them describe it as warm, witty, endearing, and gentle. All of which is, on the surface, true. The film can be appreciated for those qualities. But there is also a real darkness at the heart of this movie that seems to have somehow escaped most viewers. It is suggested most blatantly at the beginning in the short publicity film we see for Knox Oil. | I remember seeing this miniseries when it was first shown in the 80's. An epic miniseries than spans many years in the lives of an assorted cast of characters that include Faye Dunaway, Richard Burton, Ann Jillian and many others that went on to become familar faces on TV and film. As most miniseries from this era, there is adultery, murder and sex. If you get a chance to see this don't be discouraged by the length, sit back and enjoy. I only wish this were available on DVD! |

| This movie is one of my "feel good" movies. As many times as I have seen it, I wanted to be able to watch it whenever I wanted to rather than waiting to see it on tv. I like the characters, especially the grandmother. What makes it especially nice, too, is how easy it is to order on Amazon.com; however, I have a suggestion. I can not always get information, like a synopsis of a movie or book, before I make my purchase. All in all, this was one purchase that I know I will always enjoy. |

| This obscure gem of a film is clearly a labor of love by Matthew Broderick, who directed it and stars as Nobel Laureate Richard Feynman in the story of his first marriage.
Broderick ensures that we get a picture of Feynman's quirky personality, the very embodiment of the Scientific Method and iconoclastic clowning. | I have my guestroom dedicated to this film. Promo posters from around the globe - it is my all time favorite film (and Peter Coyote's favorite of his own work as well). Serious star studded cast, Coyote is still a respected, recognized actor even if he lacks the fame warranted by his talent. Greta is at her most exquisite as is Cardinale. Jamie Lee Curtis' brief appearance as short as her ponytail in the film is refreshing as she plays the jilted yet committed wife.
