The only reason I bought this video is because of John Femia (he played Tony), of whom I am a great fan. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how good this film is otherwise. It certainly kept my attention all the way through, although it was heartbreaking at times. All in all a good movie, certainly worth watching.

If you are a fan of 80's pop music, then this is a great movie to watch. It has a classic "good girl-boy from the wrong side of the tracks" storyline. The acting is superb, but Jessica Steen (the good girl) does give a great performance as do some of the other supporting actors. The movie is interspersed with great music that culminates with great musical numbers at the end. If you are a fan classic 80's movies, then this is a must see.

Peter Jackson's savagely brilliant `Heavenly Creatures' has to be his finest cinematic moment. Sure, he astounded millions (and won Oscars) for his `Lord of the Rings' trilogy, but he has never been as honest and as human as he was with his delicate handling of this startling true life story.

The film opens with a sequence as shocking as its conclusion; the image of two blood soaked teenage girls floating across the screen. This opening lays a solid foundation for the masterpiece we are about to witness. ... Read More:

This movie was released when I was a teen myself and I have a copy of it now. It is one of the few movies I carry with me for life. It is amazing. You almost feel like you are one the characters.
I identified with the starvation, drug addiction, and normal rejection that every teenager goes through, homeless or not.
Don't miss it.

Read More:

"Are you okay?!"

This review is going to be a little biased because I first saw this movie during my junior high days in the mid 1990s. At the time, fighting games were the rage from Street Fighter to Mortal Kombat. Enter the world of Fatal Fury. Fatal Fury one was actually released before Street Fighter II, and often gets overshadowed by the Ken and Ryu franchise. In terms if animated movie production though; Terry and his crew of Andy, Mai, and Joe would defeat Street Fighter Incorporated in a KOF style match-up 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 ... An entertaining HBO film about the life of Marilyn Monroe. Lindsay Crouse has a good role as Marilyn's coach and is fine as usual. Good picture and sound.
