| This is a wonderful two-disc edition. I only owned this movie on two videos so you can just imagine the excitement I had getting all the extras that went with this! It is so worth owning and the price is wonderful for such a treasure. It gives great background and is most enjoyable to see all the kids in the movie as grown ups and to also hear Julie Andrews speaking with Christopher Plummer. A true winner! |

| As a hillbilly, I'm not offended by that term. I am offended by this movie, though. This collective group of hill people make the Beverly Hillbillies look like Albert Einsteins.
The production values and writing are poor. The plot is predictable and cheesey. Don't waste your time. Just turn on the Hallmark channel and watch a couple of episodes of Little House instead. They won't be quite as ridiculous, but they'll hit ya in the same place. |

| The title says it all, because I really love this movie. Marie Osmond and Tomothy Bottoms give a really great and believable, yet entertaining performance in this warm hearted, charming and romantic story. I really loved some of the dresses that Marie wore in the film. They were beautiful and elegant. I loved this movie when it first was shown on tv, and still love it today. This movie continues to be charming and entertaining. I especially loved the ending.The Gift of Love |

| In this Bing Crosby plays an egotistic songwriter who hasn't written a musical for years. Charles Coburn is his producer. Bing's main problem is that he's lazy and would rather be golfing than writing so Charles hires a strict student (Nancy Olson) as his secretary. Other than the supporting role in Sunset Boulevard, this was of the few chances Nancy got to shine on the screen. She plays the stern girl effectively. | This is one of the most unforgetable films I have ever watched and I love classic films. I first saw this about 20 years ago and have been searching to purchase it ever since. Unfortunatly I thought the mother was played by Ingrid Bergman which is why it took so long to find it. Hope to have a copy soon. This is a must for anyone who enjoys the classics. |
