VHS : Coast to Coast
I thought this was a movie about an independant trucker, not really. It is more of a goofy kind of love story. I think women and children might like it better. I watched it once after buying it, and have not had the desire since. I am a fan of Robert Blake, but not so much this film. If you want to see a great early movie of his, check out electra glyde in blue.

So which version will you pursue:648 minutes or the 564?

Hint: There is more than one national Amazon; and despite the postage you may actually save a small amount of money with something older, longer, and with better visuals. And regions are no longer a legal issue with some of the later players.

You knew all that already, but...

3.Monty Python's The Meaning of Life starring: Sydney Arnold, Imogen Bickford-Smith, Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Carol Cleveland

The DVD seems to have a big problem with interlacing.
Even when played on a 1080p blue ray up-convertion player on a HD-TV, the picture is terrible.
None the 20+ others DVD I own have this problem.

4.Clean & Sober starring: Michael Keaton, Kathy Baker, Morgan Freeman, Tate Donovan, Henry Judd Baker

VHS : Clean & Sober
CLEAN AND SOBER, starring MICHAEL KEATON (MK), MORGAN FREEMAN, KATHY BAKER, is a movie that will potentially raise as many questions as the answers that is gives out, considering that it touches upon the subjects of narcotics addiction, alcoholism, and the disorder and chaos that is felt in many people's personal lives.

Not knowing MK personally, the work suggests an almost invisible line between the character that is played by MK in the film, and MK himself, as an actor, such is the realistic ... Read More:

1969 was a turning point in American history. And this film is still living on the hippy dream, on the flower kids and their illusion that life is nothing but music and fun. Even the war and the draft are made small and insignificant, as if you could escape the draft because you had been arrested, tried and convicted of a crime like littering. Why not jaywalking? 1969 was the arrival of Nixon, the invasion of Cambodia, after the Tet offensive, escalation and blindness among all political personnel or politicians. ... Read More:

I saw this series when it was first shown over 20 years ago on British TV. I remembered quite a bit, but I noticed that at least three characters mentioned in the story and/or pictured in the extras are not included in the version released here. A suffragette woman that Richard falls for, and characters played by Roy Barraclough & Lila Kaye are all missed out. Presumably this was to fit the Masterpiece Theatre time-slot. I'm not sure how much is missing, I would guess about 45 minutes, so although it's very good, ... Read More:

7.Prayer of the Rollerboys starring: Corey Haim, Patricia Arquette, Christopher Collet, Julius Harris, Devin Clark

VHS : Prayer of the Rollerboys
In "Prayer of the Rollerboys", Corey Haim stars as a teenaged boy whose younger brother is addicted to drugs, thanks to roller-skating white supremacists. This is Roller Derby, but it's about fighting for the future! Haim constantly gives his brother the "just say no to drugs" lecture (it was the '80s). In the meantime, he finds out the evil rollerboys (who wear white suits&are accompanied by cheesy synth music) are collaborating with some Japanese dudes, and are planning on the "Day of the Rope." The "Day of the Rope" ... Read More:

This movie I watched over 10 times when it came out. Need I say more?
There is one thing some may not notice do. After his off Broadway play and he comes home drunk, he clears off the table Sticks his head out the window and starts quoting the paper. as he was pulled back in the table was back to normal, but no one had the time to fix it, only little flaw in the film. Well worth adding to your collection of love stories.

9.Unmarried Woman starring: Matthew Arkin, Raymond J. Barry, Alan Bates, Kelly Bishop, Clint Chin
July 28, 1980
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Unmarried Woman
Having never seen this film before yesterday, I was shocked to learn that it had been nominated for an Oscar! It is one of the most unwatchable films ever to receive that distinction. Self-absorbed, bitchy, whiny, ungrateful, boring women sitting around kvetching about their lousy husbands, their indulgent affairs with teenagers, their loneliness. Good grief, shut up already. No wonder your marriages sucked. Had Jill Clayburgh's character spent a little more time paying attention to her family and a little less time boo ... Read More:
