| This movie does not deserve too many words -- it's largely a forgetable, vanity project made by Susanna Hoff's mother, Tamar Hoffs, for her pop singer daughter. It's vacuous and difficult to sit throgh -- at least Beack Blanket Bingo had those Annette and Frankie duets interspersed between the weak plots. And that extended scene with a half-naked Susanna looking in the mirror while Aretha Franklin's Respect plays in the bckground. Respect? | I teach special education students and they just loved this version of an old favorite. I used it to compare and contrast the old to the new. It helped to make learning fun!!! The kids loved to see themselves in a familiar story.Your family will just love this series. |

| I hadn't heard the story of Puss-n-Boots since I was a child. I remembered that the cat was cunning but I didn't remember the main idea about the cat's master. The concept that his honesty produced his prosperity is a wonderful lesson for children to learn. Quite naturally I love the whole multicultural theme but most importantly the theme is universal. It pays to tell the truth because honesty is the best policy!

| At times, you don't know exactly how silly this is supposed to be, and the whole film has a tone of naivety in spite of its run of sex and violence (with drug addiction thrown in for good measure). | This is one of those films that you saw a long time ago, and liked. When you happen to be in front of the TV at 3am and see that it's on, you just can't turn it off and go to bed.
The main character is working in a lab that's designing cyborg systems for space exploration. His boss murders him, and uses his 'parts' in the prototype. | No need to be put off by this rating I personally love this movie. I am exploitation -enthusiasts and would have rated it much higher but instead I save myself for being a bias. Fashionable feminism, utterly unwarranted nudity, catfights, overdramatic dialogue are all right here in "The Arena," a lavish spectacle (by New World standards) in which the audience is treated to Caged Heat in gladiator drag.
