| TALL TALE has the potential to be an excellent film. The possibilities of a tall tale adventure with Pecos Bill, Calamity Jane, Paul Bunyan, and John Henry should be great. This isn't.
The two stars I gave it are for two performances that head and pretty good cast and the music by Randy Edelmen (the genius behind GETTYSBURG's score). | When I first saw this movie, I liked it. The Dumas's fans can object that this movie is not a screen version of his novel. And I will say - that's why it's good. If you show The Three Musketeers with dramatic end to the child, he will be upset. But Disney studio made this film precisely for children of 10-13 years old. Who minds a happy end? |

| This was the unofficial movie of Owen Meany, one of the best books i have ever read. This movie was a severe disappointment. If i had not paid good money to see it in the theater, i would have walked out. Just read the book, cause this movie is not worth the time. |

| I still remember seeing the trailer for this movie when I was a kid. It seemed so adult, so provocative. Even at the tender age of ten, I recognized the inherent sexual power and enticement in the single image of Robert Redford leaning over a pool table and offering a man $1 million for a night with his wife. Back then, I was desperate to see how the story ended, but my mother didn't let me go to movies like that.

| This is a nice blending of humans with the Sesame Street characters with Keri Russell as the princess and French Stewart acting as Cinderelmo's footman. It lasts about 50 minutes and has some nice songs to delight the children. Our 3-year-old grandchild loves Elmo and enjoyed this little romp. |

| what else can you say when you turn off the movie 40 minutes into it? the opening was funny, when he was a kid getting in trouble for talking to the dog too much. but as an adult, murphy's performance just seemed silly and the animals are all these jaded modern types. and murphy as a doctor? come on.. it didn't offend me, it just bored. he should have cleaned it up a bit and made it for the kiddies. for adults, this is a waste of time. |
