| I could easily have given this movie five stars on the acting alone. But I had to take out one star for a few inaccuracies in the movie plus the movie left out certain elements in his life that I felt were important(like his speech to the Africans in Africa that the blacks in America had the same struggle that they had) but dont mistake my tone because I still recommend it flaws and all.

| The box cover makes the film look more appealing than it really is. Each scene seems like there could have been more. Even when the director fades out then goes right bakc to the last scene he was filming seemed unprofessional. As a nerd Mekhi isn't bad. Again there could have been more to this, especially with the brother. |

| I miss Ron O'Neil. He was Superfly. In this one we get Nathan Purdee who does extremely well with what he's given but it's just not the same as having Ron in the role. But Purdee is cool and does his best to make this a decent flick and I appreciate that.
The reviewer who said that in this one Priest "works with the cops" is incorrect. The cops try to force him to work for them and Priest REFUSES. He handles things HIS WAY. That's exactly how it should be. The original Superfly was about a clever man who ... Read More: |
