| I first saw this movie in the early 80's became an instant Alan King fan and purchased it immediately. The movie was hilarious. It is about a tycoon (Max) with a alcoholic wife (Connie), mistress (Bones) and a protective secretary (Stella) and how Max's agressive, manipulative and vindictive personality affects all. Anyone who watches this movie will never forget the hilarious scene where Bones (McGraw) attacks Max (King) at Bergdorf's.

| It is a simple story, really. Jim (Clark Gable) and Gunner (Spencer Tracy) are test pilots. They risk their lives for thrills and a quick buck. Jim loves women and Gunner loves Jim. | I bought this VHS after reading some of the customer reviews on Amazon and I will have to be more discerning in the future. Some of the reviews that were 5 stars raved about the production and the performances and I gotta wonder what they were watching or if they were sober during their movie experience. This was a "B" movie at best and even for the early 1930's this was a poor effort. | When this film was released I was in my teens. I went to the movies alone, often, and would go see films I liked multiple times. I went to see this one a lot, sitting in the theater for multiple showings. I remember the theater (the Miracle in Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, Florida) had a TV set in the lobby so people could watch Apollo 11 land. William Powell and Myrna Loy do a great job as Nick and Nora Charles, a wealthy married couple. Those two reprise their role for another five more Thin Man movies.
