| This movie had, and has, a special place in my heart. A good story that leaves you rooting for the good guys. Something about the Olympics in the 1980's connected on a personal level. Maybe it was because of the many underdog types actually winning.
Also having a nice love story and a drama story about the main character's father and mother and the entire family's relationship to one another. This movie does well to draw you in and make you care. The physical work is also tremendous and ... Read More: |

| BLOODLINE, based on the novel by Sidney Sheldon, is a good movie if only to see the radiant Audrey Hepburn in one of her final acting roles. She plays Elizabeth Roffe, who inherits her father's pharmaceutical empire following his mysterious death. Facing opposition and downright hostility from the board members (who also happen to be Roffe relations), Elizabeth's own life soon becomes threatened.

| Since the second grade I have been completely obsessed with this band, and it really i tragic to me that I was born in wrong decade. I loved his movie because it made me feel like I could have ossibly been there, and I'm so glad it came to be, because no I know has ever even heard of Sweetwater, or Nansior any of them, even though they were the first at the furst Woodstock. | Often in film when the main character has a troubled, painful past she is either portrayed as an "unattractive" cat lover or a raving psychotic man-hater--or both. This (thankfully) is not the case in the surprisingly sympathetic "Scissors."

| I did my senior research paper on the original Edith Wharton novel, and the film is so faithful to her original language and vision that I was nearly knocked backward by the brilliance of this ravishingly intoxicating film. All of the symbolism of the novel is here, including the colors and flowers associated with May and Ellen respectively.
