| This is by far the best version of 'A Christmas Carol'. George C. Scott is Scrooge, and he brings to the role a depth of feeling and sincerity not seen in other versions. Fun for the whole family. We look forward to it every Christmas season, and it never gets old. |

| This is a fun WWI movie from the 1970s that I enjoyed while growing up and while there is no DVD yet available there is a VCD out there that regularly appears on auction sites that will allow you to enjoy it on your DVD player.

| Yes, this has faults, many glaring. But it was created for the Texas Sesquicentennial celebration and was aired during the time of year of the battle (if I remember correctly). It was made to be entertaining and appeal to the young people (Alex Baldwin; the young lovers-the girl was played by a former Miss Texas, I think; the marvelous Raul Julia, who practically stole the show), who have to study Texas history twice before they graduate there. | The play 'Cabaret' seems to evoke the atmosphere of 1930s Berlin and the tawdry desperation of that time. The movie version is very good with vivid costumes, color and music, though I've seen a version by a local small-town theater group that I thought had a better story line. |

| I wish they'd do this one on DVD, because MArty takes the classic Legion Etrangre film (Gary Cooper 1939) and trashes it the way Mel Brooks did "Blazing Saddles" on the Western Genre..... Marty Feldman is a fogotten comic in the vein of Laurel and Hardy or Buster Keaton... When he plays second fiddle.... you laugh a lot!!!!!! DO IT IN DVD......PLEASE!!! |

| I never read the book so I cannot compare, but the movie (in 2 parts) is excellent. Carsten Norgaard is amazing (and quite the handsome man), and Nastassja Kinski is perfect in her role. |
