I ordered this supposedly rare color set thinking 23 dollars was a good price for fond memories....what I got was a 1960s-70 VHS quality colorized copies...yes the tapes are still faded and the color unnatural in spots...Hollywood can do anything digially these days but whomever is distributing and making money on this evidently does not care. Amazon please include a note specifing what one is getting on your site ..a disclaimer at least..you are too good a company for this kind of business selling ... Read More:

CLEAN AND SOBER, starring MICHAEL KEATON (MK), MORGAN FREEMAN, KATHY BAKER, is a movie that will potentially raise as many questions as the answers that is gives out, considering that it touches upon the subjects of narcotics addiction, alcoholism, and the disorder and chaos that is felt in many people's personal lives.

Not knowing MK personally, the work suggests an almost invisible line between the character that is played by MK in the film, and MK himself, as an actor, such is the realistic feel of the flow ... Read More:

I love this movie. I owned it on VHS and was looking to upgrade, so I bought this DVD. It's a 2 sided disc so you have to turn the disc over half way through the movie just to watch the rest. Lame. I was also a bit disappointed that the video by Bryan Adams wasn't at the end with the credits like it was on the VHS. It was also at the end of the movie in the movie theatre too, so I'm not sure why they would exclude it on the DVD. I love this movie and hate to give it any thing less than a 4, but because of the DVD format, ... Read More:

I purchased this video for my mother who will be giving it as a Christmas gift. We were blessed with getting to know a young lady from Germany who spent the year with my brother as a foreign exchange student. While here, she and another student from Austria watched our video of Heidi so they could compare it to their version. They enjoyed it so much that my mother decided to get her a copy. We are very happy with our purchase - the quick shipment and great packaging got it to us in A-1 condition. Thank you.

It really is too bad that it took so long for Robert Duvall to make this movie as I thought he was a too old for his part. At the beginning, I honestly thought those were his GRANDCHILDREN and June Carter Cash was his wife. (Alot of Southern men call their wives "Momma": annoying but true). Duvall plays a VERY VERY flawed haracter. Several reviewers would have you believe that he is somehow "redeemed" at the end. Really? Because he so-called saves Billy Bob Thorntons character and that other young man? ... Read More:

I waited for this turkey to drop to the price of $1.99 before picking it up from a secondary seller. Sadly, this was the last adaptation of Jean Shepherd's stories. For starters, the movie was badly cast. Charles Grodin is just horrible as "The Old Man". The script is generally weak, with the Scut Farkus/Mariah/Battling Tops thread being too weak to hold this mess of a movie together.

Shepherd would have been better advised the progress Ralphie to the age of 16 and re-tell the Junior Prom/Wanda Hickey story (brilliantly ... Read More:
