VHS : Gnome Named Gnorm, A - (aka "Upworld")
One of the local vid stores used to do 2-for-Tuesdays, two video's for a full week for 99 cents, my daughter LOVED this movie and rented it so many times that the store owner gave it to her. Lo and behold she actually wore her copy out, and just in time for her birthday (16) it arrived safe and sound and in very decent shape, I kudo's the seller. Her birthday was March 31 and she has plugged her Gnome in a few times already. A chipper family movie with some over the top snicker factors. Low Rider ... Read More:

VHS : The Swan Princess
The Swan Princess is positively delightful. Funny side characters, upbeat (if silly) music, a princess and her prince. Sure to delight young kids, however, I'm 18 and I still hold the story close to my heart.

I took one star away for plot gaps, inconsistencies in the character's emotions and overall look. Princess Odette and Prince Derek fall in love in the first five minutes or so, but then Derek says beauty is all that really attracts him to Odette, so Odette breaks it off. However, ... Read More:

VHS : Jurassic Park III
Unlike the first sequel, which I prefer to call 'Jurassic Farce', the third installment in the Dino-Thriller Series actually earns the right to call itself 'Jurassic Park'.

Tight pacing and a few new dino's keep this film exciting even if some of the story is tad preposterous. The T-Rex and the Raptors return to menace Grant and his new friends but the real star of the show is an even bigger badder 'meat-a-saurus' with a name I can't pronounce.

Fans of the books will recognize ... Read More:

4.Election starring: Matthew Broderick, Reese Witherspoon, Chris Klein, Jessica Campbell, Phil Reeves

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Election
Election is a comedy about a High School election, but it is told primarily from the point-of-view of teacher Jim McAllister (Matthew Broderick). Scenes of teachers sabotaging their student's hopes and dreams out of bitter resentment for their own failures are a staple of the coming of age genre, but usually the teachers are just a minor speed bump on the major character's road to destiny. Here, the film stays with the teacher, who seems to be a decent fellow except for some major character flaws that make ... Read More:
