Then this film is for you. I was not crazy about the scenery. Being the Italian Alps, it's obviously very wintry scenery, and that's something I can do without. The fashion wasn't appealing to me (even though Ms. Taylor looks particularly beautiful in one red outfit). As for Taylor herself, she is stunning in this movie. The pre-surgery makeup they had on her (along with the excess padding) made her look very old. However, Elizabeth was only 41 when this movie came out, and post-surgery, the viewer ... Read More:

3.Waterhole # 3 starring: James Coburn, Carroll O'Connor, Margaret Blye, Claude Akins, Timothy Carey

Watch the film with the English subtitles ON. You will learn a lot about "The (Comic) Code of the West" from the theme song. In his first scene, James Coburn teaches you the dangers of competing with a "Professional Gambler" and he illustrates the best way to survive a gunfight. The "education" continues throughout the film, including the philosophy revealed in James Coburns last line. It is a comic romp that is not dated, it is as funny now as when it was new.

Elmore Leonard wrote a few Westerns in the '50s that became successful films and this one along with "3:10 to Yuma" still stands out as one of the best of its kind. Kevin Costner has stated in interviews that this film really influenced him in the making of his revisionist Western "Dances with Wolves"--and one can see why. A suspenseful Western with a social consciousness rarely found in films of that era, "Hombre" scored with a solid cast of pros, with Newman in his best Western role ever even over "Butch Cassidy" ... This movie is a favorite.

I have the WS/FS version. The transfer is not very good; the soundtrack is mono, and does not do justice to the film. Technical issues aside, the movie is flawless. It has no special features.

If you're going to like this movie, you'll know it from the opening sequence: silence up to a diesel's rumble & whistle on the way into New Orleans; imagery to match.

Every element--acting, directing, writing, music, cinematography--is pitch-perfect. The music, in particular, ... Read More:

I really loved this movie. I also loved the song 'Forever'. I sure would like to know the name of the lady that sang that song and if she recorded it other than the movie.

7.Silhouette starring: Faye Dunaway, David Rasche, John Terry, Carlos Gómez, Ron Campbell

I know Faye Dunaway was the star in this intense suspense about a murder that took place in a small town. But I think David Rasche stole the show playing the darranged Shariff Louder. He was so awesome in this movie. He's great in any part he plays, He can be funny or serious. And to me that's why this movie was so great and written wonderfully it kept me in suspense all through it I recommend it for anyone who is a fan of David Rasche or just a suspense fan.
