VHS : Who Framed Roger Rabbit
This is a very inventive, technically brilliant cartoon. It has a lot of incredibly funny scenes and a great many superb comic in jokes.

For the time this was made, the special effects are stunning. This is a great piece of entertainment.

VHS : Best of Roger Rabbit
This is better than "Oswald The Lucky Bunny" (Wich Walt Disney STOLE for the design for Mickey!). It is just simple slapstick but that is all you really need in a Roger Rabbit cartoon. In the third cartoon is where the problems started, a five second spoof of Jaws caused Disney to stop creating those shorts. In all the cartoons, if you have a good VCR you will find several hidden images

Let no one say that this Harold Robbins show biz potboiler doesn't begin with a bang: On the very day that Valley High student Pia Zadora wins an award as "most promising English major," she parties with fast Beverly Hills High students, one of whom --- weed-smoking Ray Liotta --- fondles her award and proclains its resemblance to a member of the male anatomy, fondles her breast ("Valley girls are anxious to please!"), throws her onto the lawn ("I'm gonna give you something special!"), and rapes her with the ... I was so disappointed with this series---usually the Brits do a much better job. This was worse than American daytime TV soap operas! The acting is appalling and stilted, which is a shame because there are some decent actors in the show. Apparently they couldn't make sense of the awful script and terrible writing. The last show should have tied up all the loose ends but instead leaves viewers hanging by a very thin thread--perhaps they made a sequel I'm not aware of. At any rate, it is simply dreadful except for the actual footage ... Read More:

I thought it was well done, a family oriented entertaining movie with more than one homage to the original series. If you want to sit down with the kids and be entertained, this is a great example!
Directed by Jonathan Frakes.
