VHS : Electric Dreams
I just googled electric dreams dvd and it is available through rare dvd classics, I am not sure if this is the one from Australia that another reviewer wrote about. Great 1980s movie from my childhood, have the soundtrack on CD, love it and the movie!

2.Leaving Normal starring: Christine Lahti, Meg Tilly, Patrika Darbo, Lenny von Dohlen, Maury Chaykin

VHS : Leaving Normal
This movie is just fantastic. Christine Lahti and Meg Tilly are both awesome. It is sad. It is funny. It has a great feel-good ending. When I want to watch a movie, and nothing that I have sounds appealing at the time, I just pop in Leaving Normal. I think of it as my "go to" movie.

I cannot understand why every piece of junk movie is on DVD, and this gem is not. What a shame.

3.Tender Mercies starring: Robert Duvall, Tess Harper, Betty Buckley, Wilford Brimley, Ellen Barkin
directed by: Bruce Beresford

VHS : Tender Mercies
This is a film where the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. It is well written, cast, acted and directed, yet the overall final product is one of the best "quiet" films ever. I'm not a country music fan, but the music is perfectly in context with the story and one compliments the other extremely well. This may be Robert Duvall's finest work. I think if it came out in 2008 it would contend for Best Picture honors.

4.Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me starring: Mädchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook, Phoebe Augustine, David Bowie, Eric DaRe

follow along on a 2.5 hour trip through the mind of Lynch, who enjoys being strange just to be strange. why are we subjected to the first half hour of nonsense?

As a fan of the TV series I enjoyed seeing a much darker side of LeLand Palmer then we saw in the TV series. Ray Wise delivers a strong performance. Sorry not to see Lara Flynn Boyle as Donna, her replacement was not even close.

5.How to be a Perfect Person in Just 3 Days starring: Wallace Shawn, Ilan Mitchell-Smith, Hermione Gingold, Sarah Boyd, Kate McGregor-Stewart

VHS : How to be a Perfect Person in Just 3 Days
This movie needs more publicity than it currently has. It has gotten to the point where people need to see it for its outstanding performances by Ilan Mitchell-Smith {Milo Crinkley} and Wallace Shawn. The movie starts off as a young boy named Milo Crinkley has a knack for getting into mishaps until he meets a "wizard" to help him on the road to perfection. He is to perform three tasks on three consecutive days. At the end of the third day, after winning the kite contest, he is let down with a knowledge that perfection ... Read More:

VHS : Kent State
I had the pleasure of being in this movie. I had just graduated highschool. I didn't really know anything. Not about Kent State, not about movie making. My eyes were opened to both.

One has to realize, this is a Docu-Drama, not a documentary. Liberties have to be taken to present a story. I wasn't in Kent so I can't say what, if any, liberties were taken. However, I can tell you that looking at photos of Kent State and being on the campus of Gadsden State Junior College, the two campuses were similar. And since the Kent ... Read More:

THe movie didn't start off that interesting but after about fifteen minutes I began to get interested. Although the movie is a bit cheesy, I enjoy a bit of cheese now and then. It's just another I love my family I hate my family type of movie.

9.Entertaining Angels: Dorothy Day Story starring: Moira Kelly, Martin Sheen, Lenny von Dohlen, Melinda Dillon, Paul Lieber

VHS : Entertaining Angels: Dorothy Day Story
This video portrayed the life of Dorothy Day, a remarkable woman, who with her passion for Christ started the Catholic Worker movement.

A special movie... One that is not at all light-hearted, but one that will challenge you and make you think differently about the value of human dignity.

If you are in the mood for something different, a movie that will bring you closer to your own faith, I recommend this one. It made me reevaluate my priorities.

10.Love Kills (1991) starring: Virginia Madsen, Lenny von Dohlen, Erich Anderson, Kate Hodge, Jim Metzler
directed by: Brian Grant

VHS : Love Kills (1991)
This TVM directed by Brian Grant has some intriguing elements which keep one guessing before the plot implausibilities bury any sense of reality. As the wife of a criminal psychologist and author who she believes is trying to kill her, Virginia Madsen is an actress who can play paranoid victim without looking silly, but even she is given one too many cries of "No", and suffers under the weight of 4 potential assassins, not to mention a mean looking dog. Grant is possibly aware of the weakness of the script and plays some scenes for laughs, ... Read More:
