| This movie falls into the "so bad it's good" category. All the actors are terrible, even Henry Fonda's cameo stinks. Some of the scenery is great, some is obviously phony. But somehow it is watchable, perhaps because you keep imagining what is being parodied, especially toward the end. Yet it gives one a twinge of regret when it's over. |

| this movie drags after the first act. the movie feels like its 4 or five hours long. so its amazing to me that they recut the movie to make it longer.
many people have commented that this movie is PC becasue the white men are bad guys and the native americans are noble savages. I completely disagree. Instead, I see it as the Indians are in trouble and cant find buffalo or fight off the neighbor tribes until the magic white man comes in and shows them how its done. so ... Read More: |

| My favorite Bing Crosby movie.It has romance,comedy & of course music.
Would love to see it on DVD as VHS is all that is avaliable for purchase. A truly great family movie with a great cast. Would buy as soon as it comes out. Thanks: David S. |

| The thing is, I should have known this was going to happen, and in a way I did. I mean, I've been vocal about not getting into `Ocean's Eleven' and I just had this horrible feeling that this movie was going to be just as bad. I never imagined that it would be worse, but `just as bad', yes.

| It is good to see Tommy Kirk working in a film, but not exactly this film. Pretty sad movie and industry to use the likes of once great teenage actor, Disney's Tommy Kirk, in this type of film. Tommy Kirk is an actor who just got too old for his own image. That is sad. This movie is sad or should I just say bad. |

| I saw a reference to Ralph Bakshi in a current Hobbit story, which referenced Bakshi's forgettable foray into Tolkien territory. But, I remembered the x-rated animated toon of my teens - the only animated feature ever to give me a partial, right in the theatre. Anyway, I got on Amazon later that day and bought Fritz and The Nine Lives of Fritz and allowed my wife to give me them for Xmas.
