VHS : The Sandlot
The Sandlot was definitely the best movie of 1993. Hard to believe that was fifteeen years ago, I remember seeing this one in the theatre and enjoying every second of this heartfelt, inspiring film. The cast is hoot and Denis Leary is actually sweet in this! I recommend this childhood favorite to everyone, enjoy!

VHS : Gods & Generals (2pc) (P&S Dol Slip)
This is the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. It takes itself very seriously, and is just dull from start to finish. There is a 5-10 minute sequence at one point where you just watch people marching. No dialogue, nothing, just marching.

Other movies are bad, and you can laugh at them. Watching this one is like being in prison.

3.Bridges at Toko Ri starring: William Holden, Grace Kelly, Fredric March, Mickey Rooney, Robert Strauss

VHS : Kafka
"KAFKA" is one of those movies that was both negelected by the audience and the critics, and very unjustifiably so. What's exactly wrong with this picture? Is it because a lot of Very Heavy-Thinking Bookreaders claim that the real Franz Kafka is untouchable, and so: not-filmable, and there for, when this is done anyway, it must be condemned even before one single frame is actually seen?

But this is not about Mr. Real Kafka, it's about Mr. Fictitious Kafka, even one without Franz as a first name. This ... Read More:

5.Key Exchange starring: Brooke Adams, Danny Aiello, Seth Allen, Kerry Armstrong, Sandra Beall
January 24, 1986
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Key Exchange
Key Exchange is a wonderful film that was based on a play performed onstage in 1981. This movie version was released in 1985. Ben Masters does a wonderful job portraying the character of Phillip, who struggles to keep a monogamous relationship. The movie focuses around Phillip as he agrees to exchange house keys with his current girlfriend, who is played by Brooke Adams. Filled with humor, excitement, and wonderful actors, this film is a must see.

VHS : Gilbert & Sullivan - The Pirates of Penzance / Michell, Kelly, Oliver, Allen, Opera World
Good choreography, especially funny for I am a Pirate King.
Good recording and video quality.
One has to really wonder who chose the cast.
Mabel, Janis Kelly, was great in the middle registers, but did not sing up into the stratosphere.
Frederic, Alexander Oliver, could sing, but did not quite look the part of a dashing young lad of 21.
General Stanley and Ruth were both fine.
The Pirage King was not the strong singer that you would expect, but was clearly enjoying himself.

VHS : Out of Sight (1998)
I love love love this movie. I saw it when it first came to video and I have watched it many times. This is perhaps the only instance where I prefer the movie to the book. The cast is magnificent. George and Jennifer have great chemistry and make their rather improbable romance seem somewhat plausible. Both characters are sexy, quirky, smart, flawed. This was the first time that I saw Catherine Keener, Don Cheadle and Steve Zahn in a movie. Nowadays they are some of my favorite actors and I always look out for their films. ... Read More:

VHS : Nightscare
This movie is a complete rip-off of Nightmare on Elm Street. A killer kills people in their dreams. A dream psychologist (Elizebeth Hurley) tries to stop him. The only differance is that this movie isn't scary at all. The plot is impossible to follow, and nothing is explained clearly. The cover art may look interesting (especially with Hurley on it) but it is nothing but a huge mess. Steer clear of this one.
