| Me and a friend had been wanting to see this movie one for the content but also for its art prospective. I can't speak for my friend, but it was not what I expected at all. It is 4 hrs long (on the 2 disc special edition) and none of it is really any good. The movie bring up some points, that are great but other wise I would say this movie is not worth buying. Rent the movie before you consider buying. I wish I had.

| It's a bit of a disaster, this movie. I thought I ought to try and balance out the 5-star reviews that top the pile of most recent comments with a few of my own before anyone actually buys the DVD. Rent it first, if you still can, and see what you think. Like any movie from a book, it's bound to draw comparisons with the original story. | Kind of silly nonsense about an actress who is stalked by an actor whose girlfriend committed suicide. He dies and Juliette Binoche thinks shes will, too. It's muddled up with "Romeo and Juliet." Lots of nudity. Worth a watch. |

| I found this early work of Juliet Binoche to be both intriguing, very credible but a bit over the top. This is a reluctant love story to say the least but the selection of three odd bods as characters to highlight the problems of homelessness in modern urban societies is a very real device indeed.
