I did it. I bought a Disney movie -- I mean a kids-oriented one. And then... I actually showed it to my kids (first I watched it again, just to make sure).

This is so totally out of character for me, that it *does* deserve a gasp of surprise.

Because Disney. DISNEY! No positive male role-models DISNEY! Every male character is a fool, a tool, a slob, or a villain DISNEY! Forget about little boys, because only girls are celebrated DISNEY! And yes, I still think that ... Read More:

This is a wonderful two-disc edition. I only owned this movie on two videos so you can just imagine the excitement I had getting all the extras that went with this! It is so worth owning and the price is wonderful for such a treasure. It gives great background and is most enjoyable to see all the kids in the movie as grown ups and to also hear Julie Andrews speaking with Christopher Plummer. A true winner!

The Diceman WAS once upon a time the most outragous comedian I have ever experienced. I watched this particular video once and could not laugh from the shock....then in the last few minutes of racist humour he gave his hand away and made us all aware that the "Diceman" is a characture for the modern day. It is in fact a persona that even Andrew could not keep! This is perhaps the greatest stand-up video of all time when you understand the cartoon! Too bad he could not expand or stay in character ... I don't like abridged novels and films that are chopped to pieces are in the same category. This shortened version lacks the depth of the original full version film. The full version film should be considered an all time classic.

I LOVED this movie when I watched it in the late 80s on VHS. Now, not only can't I find it on DVD here or anywhere online for this area of the world, but I can't even find a VHS copy anywhere. It seems like Australia and Japan and the UK have PAL versions available. Does anyone out there have any influence with the studio to make sure they release this on DVD for WORLDWIDE distribution?

Anyway, this was a fantastic movie, very different type of role for Julie Andrews (serious), quite well done. The setting in Barbados ... Read More:

This was robbed of the Best Animated Feature by the overated "The Incredibles", and this is hilarious. You'll laugh from beginnning to end, I assure you.

For anyone who thinks that Julie Andrews is nothing more than a mere song and dance routine, or the voice behind that infectiously annoying `hills are alive' song I have only one thing to say to you; watch `Victor/Victoria'. I happened to stumble onto this film last night and I have thought of nothing else since. Sure, it has yet to be 24 hours but honestly, it is the ONLY thing that I have thought of since the credits began to roll. As a whole the film is adorable, but its strongest part is none other than Julie Andrews. Her astonishing ... Read More:
