VHS : Only Love
Well, well, well, if I didn't read the book first, maybe I would have had diferent opinion on this movie. But I think the way they end the movie did total injustice to the original story of the book. Correct me if I am wrong but the impression I got from the book was that Evie was his true love from the beginning and it was his realization of that and finally being free from his obseession over Silvia made it possible for him to find the music again.

In movie, they end it the way make you think ... Read More:

VHS : Eight on the Lam
A "Guilty pleasure"? Perhaps but I never fail to be amused by the wacky chemistry of Bob Hope and Phyllis Diller in their work together. Having literally discovered Phyllis Diller in her night club act Bob Hope had the unique Miss Diller, who's trademark was wild hair and even crazier clothes, as his leading lady in three mid 1960's films, "Boy Did I Get a Wrong Number!", "The Private Navy of Sgt. O'Farrell" and this effort, "Eight on the Lam". While the humour here is certainly not to everyone's taste they tickle my funny ... Read More:

VHS : At First Sight
I saw this on HBO one day and fell in love with it. I have since bought a copy and watch it once in a while, when I need a laugh. Jonathan Silverman and Dan Cortese (who co-starred together on The Single Guy) play a couple of guys who represent polar opposites among single guys- one is the timid romantic who has trouble getting girls, the other is a womanizing egomaniac who has no trouble whatsoever getting girls. The movie follows them around for a few days as they date, trade one-liners and dating philosophies, play hookey ... Read More:

VHS : Crazy Streets
I saw what I believe was the only public theater showing of "Forever Lulu" in the country (check boxofficemojo.com if you don't believe me!)--NYC, circa '87. It was a matinee and I missed the opening credits--a bitter irony, since I was only there to see Debbie Harry and the opening credits are all a close-up of her face, through a viewfinder, posing for still pictures on a bridge. Luckily, I stayed for the beginning of the subsequent showing and got to see the credits after all.

Unluckily, I saw the film in between. ... Read More:
