| This great, unjustly forgotten John Huston film has fallen by the wayside, and that's a real shame. A striking cinematic adaptation of the Flannery O'Connor novel, Wise Blood boasts Brad Dourif in the lead role, Hazel Motes, and Dourif nails it. When you see the film, you realize it would be really tough to imagine anyone else alive at the time being able to carry off the role. | The Cruel Sea is truly one of the great classic war movies, ever made. The cast of excellent British actors, really bring this film to life. This is a must see movie. The relationship between Captain Ericson (Jack Hawkins) and his 1st Lieutenant (Donald Sinden) becomes one of almost a father-son relationship. No computer enhancement, her - just a great movie. They don't make them like this, anymore.World |

| I had seen this move as a child on USA up all night and it scared me to death but as an adult i found this here and paid a pretty penny for it and was so disappointed and wandered what i had seen in this movie as a child cause this has to be the worst horror movie ever made. once i watched it once i sold it to a local bookstore. | This one was a little different from the prior Cushing Frankenstein entries in that the monster was a little updated and certainly a more sympathetic creature. But he could still tear up the dickens when he was displeased!

| Mostly I enjoyed this film. I liked that much is from the little boy's veiwpoint. There is a certain suspense and foreboding throughout, both physical and imagined. There are many small details that fill out the story. There is a scene at night when the boy is scared to pass by steps leading down to a dark place, and he jumps past them to minimize his exposure to whatever evils may be lurking down there...details like this remind me of the fear a child feels.
