| This is simply one of THE Best Christmas Movies ever made. We watch this movie at least five times every Christmas Season. And now we can finally watch it in full HD DVD! If you want it buy it from Amazon though because it is almost impossible to find anywhere else. And if you like Christmas Comedies good for the whole family try ELF too! |

| i give this fine mini-series 4 stars because this one was used to set up the rest of the series but for reasons unknown they stoped after this one.
philip kent is now an old man(and now played by martin millner)and his son's are now the focus of the series. randolph mantooth is quite good as the oldest son who must do things for himself.his trek west with wife and new child is the focus of the first part and we get to see how hard the way really was and leaves us with very powerful images ... | I'm not a big fan of King Kong, but I have seen all three films: 1933, 1976, and 2005. The original 1933 film is a classic in its own right. The 2005 remake could've been better, but it had its moments. And right in the middle, the first 1976 remake is a love-or-hate motion picture. There are no dinosaurs, no chewing on natives, and no famous T-rex fight, which makes it a bit less exciting. Unlike the others, which are set in 1933, this one is set in the 70's. | if you want a similarity to "an affair to remember" this won't be it but its an entirely charming film , cary grant's performance is really one of his better works. Kerr has been better in other works. Grant, who wants a wife who can "just find having babies and taking care of a man" pleasurable , finds a dream wife from the fictitious country of Bookistan. hijinks ensue with Grant trying to get closer to his bride to be, meanwhile Kerr is his translator who follows his every step, not to mention the amusing "skyscraper" who ... | I bought this as David Janssen in it, and for that it was most definitely worth it. Story & some of the lines made me laugh more than a bit. Sure DJ had fun making it. I's very corny but really quite fun.Great for female David Janssen fans :) |

| A must buy for all history buffs especially telegraph buffs! I'm elated to have a copy of Western Union in my movie collection. The movie is about how Western Union set up telegraph poles across the United States to the west coast. Showing all the struggle, killing of people, all in the effort to set up communications across the nation. At the end of the movie it showed how wonderful it was to have communications from east to west. This was the beginning of what was later to become telephone communications!
