VHS : Hear My Song
"Hear My Song" (1992), an Irish film, a romantic musical comedy/drama, was written by its star, Adrian Dunbar, with Peter Chelsom, its first-time director, and is filmed on location in gritty Liverpool, England, and the lovely Irish countryside. It's based on the life story of the Irish tenor Josef Locke, born Joseph McLaughlin, who knew great success in England, but was driven back to his home country by the tax man.

Adrian Dunbar, a frequently-seen actor, plays Micky O'Neill, who ... Read More:

i give this fine mini-series 4 stars because this one was used to set up the rest of the series but for reasons unknown they stoped after this one.
philip kent is now an old man(and now played by martin millner)and his son's are now the focus of the series. randolph mantooth is quite good as the oldest son who must do things for himself.his trek west with wife and new child is the focus of the first part and we get to see how hard the way really was and leaves us with very powerful images ... VHS : Dangerous Minds
I haven't seen Dangerous Minds for ages, apart from bits on TV on holiday, which I wasn't really paying attention to at the time. When I found it on DVD for cheap, I bought it.

As soon as I put this DVD on, and it started up, I remembered all the characters instantly. I even remembered what happened in the movie.

But really, there's nothing new here that hasn't been done a thousand times before, and better. The story is pretty generic, and is almost a direct copy of what happens ... Read More:

VHS : Baby's Day Out
Ever since I was a kid, I've loved this movie. Now that I'm older, I still do. I recently watched it because I haven't watched it in a long time. A rich family wants their baby named Bink in the paper. Some thieves steal Bink and hold him for ransom. At their hideout, Bink escapes and throughout the movie, the bad guys chase him all over town trying to find him. The family receive help from the F.B.I. and try to find Bink. Baby's Day Out is actually a book that Bink reads, and he visits all the places that is in the book. Bink ... Read More:

VHS : The Duke
The Duke is a very cute movie that features a live bloodhound and basset hound. Children (and adults) who are dog lovers will enjoy this movie. The story is a little predictable with a happy ending, but that's the way it should be with a movie so adorable! I highly recommend giving The Duke a turn in your DVD player.

9.Tin Star starring: Henry Fonda, Anthony Perkins, Betsy Palmer, Michel Ray, Neville Brand
directed by: Anthony Mann
January 01, 1998
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Tin Star
Although Henry Fonda was not as closely identified with Westerns as his buddy, Jimmy Stewart, he did make this one with Anthony Mann who made several of the best of this genre with Stewart (Man from Laramie, Naked Spur, Far Country, Winchester 78)--a low keyed oater where a seasoned ex-sheriff/bounty hunter (Fonda) shows a inexperienced young sheriff (Tony Perkins) how to survive in the Old West. This film doesn't have as much action as the films Mann did with Stewart but it has some great writing from Dudley Nichols who colloborated with another ... Read More:

VHS : Behind the Lines
In 1998 I saw a great war film that was lost in the glare of the nearly simultaneous American film releases of Terrence Malick's remake of The Thin Red Line- which is a great film, and Steven Spielberg's cliché and stereotype-dripping Saving Private Ryan. It was a 1997 Canadian and British film called Regeneration, directed by Gillies MacKinnon (who directed The Playboys, and Small Faces), based upon the famed book of the same title by British novelist Pat Barker. The screenplay was written by Allan Scott. There were a couple of differences between it and ... Read More:
