| This is the best film version of the Tennessee Williams play, and one of the best transfers to film of one of his plays - right up there with the Kazan film of "A Streetcar Named Desire." I can still visualize so much of this film, it was that powerful - Joanne Woodward's "jonquils" speech, Malkovich's opening and closing monologues, Karen Allen's frightened, sensitive and shy portrayal, and James Naughton's kindly, clueless, then sensitive portrayal of the Gentleman Caller.

| It is not surprising that this film, a work based on Joseph Conrad's thought-provoking novella of the same name, has garnered a wide variety of opinions and perspectives- just from the Amazon reviews alone! | My students really enjoyed this movie. We had read the book as a class and discussed it in detail. They all could not wait to see the movie when we finished. | Two fine actors when they were still young and HUNGRY. If you like your acting brimming with absolute manic passion and pathos, then this is your new favorite. I first viewed this on a home made tape that my best friend's older sister had made from a PBS airing in 1983. | I remembered watching this as a kid, so I searched the Internet to find it again. I hadn't seen it in over a decade, but it is still just as good as I remembered. This was an underrated special that should have been played every year, just like the classics of Rudolph, Frosty, and Garfield. Anybody of all ages will enjoy watching this. It is only 23 minutes, but you'll end up watching it over and over. |

| Death of a salesman is one of the best samples of the american drama that reflects the real life of the dream that is not even reached by american people.
I love Dustin Huffman play but all the characters are amazingly builded which make the sense of being at the teather. |

| John Malkovich is convincingly creepy and vicious in his role as an assassin turned maniac who wants to kill the president. Next to him, Clint Eastwood is a secret service man who failed to protect JFK. Their demons drive this excellent film, which is convincing and very involving.
It's an excellent movie and first class entertainment. |
