Overall, this is one of the better sequels out there. The animation is wonderful and I love the soundtrack. This really keeps my 2 year olds attention and he loves Woody and Buzz. I think the first Toy Story was a little bit more unique/original/quippy, but this is great, too.

Ok. For starters this is an adorable little movie about one "orphans" struggle to belong and find happiness. Its not supposed to be historicaly accurate it never CLAIMED to be historically accurate. Your supposed to take it for what it is instead of throwing and excpecting all these hidden meanings in it. Yes, Rasputen is a very graphic character but any reviews of him "scarring your children for life" should be COMPLETELY disregarded as having a very wimpy child and nothing more. For christs sake people, its ... Read More:

VHS : 1984
Michael Radford's adaptation of the well-known novel by Orwell is very faithful to its source material and very impressive. The cast is perfect in its leading trio: John Hurt as Winston Smith, Suzanna Hamilton as Julia and last but certainly not least in his last movie performance Richard Burton as O'Brien.

Orwell's dystopian vision of the future will be well known to most of us.
Winston Smith, the central character, lives in a totalitarian world, in which all pay homage to the ominous ever ... Read More:

VHS : Shake Hands With the Devil
James Cagney made according my personal opinion, a tour de force performance and his most superb artistic achievement, personifying the leader of IRA. Through the innocent gaze of a naïve student who sudden and accidentally becomes involved in rebel activities, Cagney will exert on him a spelling influence but gradually he will realize the core of the human being behind the mask: a murderous fanatic.

A ravishing jewel of Michael Anderson, one of the best and remarkable British filmmakers ever.

5.Multiplicity starring: Michael Keaton, Andie MacDowell, Zack Duhame, Katie Schlossberg, Harris Yulin
directed by: Harold Ramis

VHS : Multiplicity
Michael Keaton is somewhat of an acquired taste. He is funny sometimes, even outright hysterical (take `Beetlejuice' for instance) but other times he just wares on my patience. `Multiplicity' is one of those films that works in parts, but not entirely, and that is mostly due to Keaton's uneven performance. Well, and the fact that Andie MacDowell didn't have any strong direction to squeeze goodness out of her.

The script is also rather ridiculous, but I think we expect that from a film like this.

Keaton ... Read More:

VHS : The Journey of Natty Gann
This is a quietly touching adult film made by Disney long before they had their Touchstone division. Meredith Salanger gives a star-making performance as a teenage girl growing up with her father during the depression. A young John Cusack has a nice turn as well, already showing the kind of quiet and surprising talent he would become known for in coming years.

Natty's father (Ray Wise) finds the only work he can during the depression and reluctantly leaves Natty with someone who turns out to have no love or compassion ... Read More:

I saw the movie when it came out in the mid 90's and after visiting Savannah this past summer & touring the Mercer house and then reading the book for the fist time, I just had to see it again. I remembered it as being better than I now rate it, but I also read the book before seeing it the second time & I found several things lacking or rushed when comparing it to the book. It is still a must see if you liked the book, but remember that a movie always cuts & changes some things that you just can't figure out why, like ... Read More:

This video obviously looks like a pirated version. Over an hour of the original video tape has been left out. I wouldn't waste my money.

This movie is entertaining from the aspect that there are soo many big named actors in the movie showcased early in their careers. The plot line is thin at best and the acting in parts are just as good. The only reason I rated this movie soo high, is I lived where it was filmed and was able to see all the actors shooting scenes throughout town. For me and my town it is a cult classic as we recognize each location and scene they are at. Overall, the movie is interesting to see once for the actors strictly.

10.Allnighter starring: Susanna Hoffs, Dedee Pfeiffer, Joan Cusack, John Terlesky, James Shanta
directed by: Tamar Simon Hoffs

VHS : Allnighter
This movie does not deserve too many words -- it's largely a forgetable, vanity project made by Susanna Hoff's mother, Tamar Hoffs, for her pop singer daughter. It's vacuous and difficult to sit throgh -- at least Beack Blanket Bingo had those Annette and Frankie duets interspersed between the weak plots. And that extended scene with a half-naked Susanna looking in the mirror while Aretha Franklin's Respect plays in the bckground. Respect? No wonder she never got any again after making this atrocious waste of celluloid.
