VHS : Disney's 101 Dalmatians
Modern technology has taken live-action filmmaking to limitless heights, but there are still some stories that are more suited for feature-animation. Dodie Smith's "The Hundred and One Dalmatians" is one of them. Walt Disney knew this and his "One Hundred and One Dalmatians" is one of the most loved animated films of all time. Unfortunately, director John Hughes did not and his live-action remake, "101 Dalmatians, comes up short in the end.

It is not a bad film, but it is incredibly ... Read More:

VHS : Drowning by Numbers
One of my fave films. But I want to use this space to ask why, in the name of a hundred stars, why this is _still_ not available on DVD in US format?

VHS : Shining Through
My husband and I first viewed Shining Through on television. After it was finished, I realized I had been holding my hand in a fixed position too long and also breathing shallow breaths. We decided to go to our favorite store, Amazon, and see if we could purchase it because it was not a recent movie. As always, we were successful. We have started a DVD library so we can view good selections. Excellant acting, surpise ending which was uplifting. Wonderful mystery with lots of conflict. Melanie Griffith was great. Made ... VHS : Sister My Sister
Sister My Sister is a very well-made and well-acted film; however, the DVD quality is below average in both picture and sound; that's why I've given it three stars. It's a shame that some companies ruin good films by producing substandard DVDs. The DVD is in 4:3 aspect ratio.

VHS : King Ralph
Kind of makes you think about what could be if you could just forget living your everyday life style to live like a king. Isn't what its all what you think. They have so many rules and how you should act and so on.
But its very entertaining to watch..I hop you will enjoy it as much as I did. And yes, they should be more relaxed and then it wouldn't be so hard to control the country.

VHS : Hollow Reed
I have never seen a film which so well captures the terror that is in the heart of a child who lives in fear of an adult caretaker. The director has worked a miracle here. She has enabled us to see the world through the eyes of an abused child, and it is not easy to watch, but it is essential viewing for all who want to understand child abuse.

The scene in which Jason Flemyng's character convinces his girlfriend to let him back into the house, where he will continue to abuse her son, is one of the most devastating scenes I have ... Read More:

VHS : Loch Ness
As the title would suggest "Loch Ness" explores the possibility of the Loch Ness monster, at least on the surface. Ted Danson plays a disillusioned cryptozoologist who is sent on assignment to Loch Ness, Scotland, to disprove the mythical creature's existence. With the assistance of a clairvoyant girl (Kirsty Graham) he discovers many life-changing things, including love with the girl's mother (Joely Richardson).

If you're remotely interested in cryptozoology "Loch Ness" is a must. Despite the fact that the story is predictable, this ... Read More:

VHS : Event Horizon
If you folded space to where point A (your current location) and point B (your desired destination) are within a few thousand miles instead of light years apart and, then, made the jump between space...well, what would you pass through? I'm no physicist but I found that question a very interesting part of the story behind this movie. This movie has a creepiness factor that makes it more of a horror instead of science fiction. This movie is unexpected. I first rented it about 10 years ago and instantly decided to purchase it when I noticed it on Amazon. ... Read More:
