| Great book. Written in sense of "Gone with the Wind." Good character development. Really saw the growth of Scarlet, from self-centered child to caring young woman. Always had the feeling, unlike the film, that it was Scarlet and Rhett. Set in Irish history background. |

| Willow was such a delightful movie. I've had the movie for years and about every two years I play it again--it's that entertaining. You would think Hollywood would take the hint and had sequels to this movie. I feel this way about Clash of the Titans also--still playing it every so often since the 80's! Anyway, Val Kilmer was great and the little folks stole the show! We need more--come on Hollywood, start growing some smarts! |

| This was a great film to watch. The acting was excellent all the way through the film. Diana Rigg and Sean Connery in the same film is a can't miss and Colin Friels was their equal, every performance from all the actors was just fantastic. I wish this was on DVD. |

| Excellent performances abound. Christopher Lambert in one of his early acting (rather than more recent "movie star") roles. Joss Ackland is his stalwart, dependable best. But it's Ed Harris's flick, one for the portfolio, at a time when he was still (largely) flying under everyone's radar. This reviewer's introduction to Tim Roth and Pete Postlethwaite, as well. Memorable stuff.
Looking forward to seeing director Holland's fine Solidarity tale on a remastered, anamorphic widescreen DVD. |

| Belatedly, I planned to write a review of EOD. However, I find that the rest of you got here first, and have written well-deserved high praise!
I first saw EOD here in the US on a syndicated basis. They chopped it up into two parts, and cut a lot of little "unnecessary" bits (like Craven looking out a second storey window and seeing McCroon stepping out of the trees with a shotgun). The sound quality was fair to poor, also. We eventually got hold of the 2-cassette VHS copy, and caught all the things ... Read More: |
