VHS : Toy Story 2
Overall, this is one of the better sequels out there. The animation is wonderful and I love the soundtrack. This really keeps my 2 year olds attention and he loves Woody and Buzz. I think the first Toy Story was a little bit more unique/original/quippy, but this is great, too.

VHS : It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie
This is probably my own fault, as I don't remember the muppets being so incredibly unfamily friendly. I was appalled at the references to sex as well as language such as "lets beat him up", and a fight scene between the movie's "villian" and Ms. Piggy. Even from an adult perspective, the jokes were not funny and somewhat offensive. The role they give to Whoopi as "the boss" (aka God) was very offensive towards the Christian belief of God. I would not recommend this movie to anyone.

VHS : Men Don't Leave
This film is an overlooked masterpiece. Jessica lange, Joan Cusack, and Chris O'Donnell(in his film debut) are excellent, as is the entire film. It's very well acted, written, directed, and musically scored. Another screen gem languishing in the vault unreleased, to the detriment of audiences all over the world who are missing out on such a wonderful film. You'd think Warner Bros. would want to release it and make money, why they haven't is beyond me. They need to this year already, we've waited long enough. I'm ... Read More:

4.Little Dorrit - Part Two: Little Dorrit's Story starring: Derek Jacobi, Alec Guinness, Joan Greenwood, Max Wall, Patricia Hayes

VHS : Little Dorrit - Part Two: Little Dorrit's Story
I purchased this adaption of Little Dorrit several years ago on laserdisc and I enjoyed it, but I found that to fully appreciate this film it was necessary to watch it to the end. The point to this film adaption of a Dicken's book was to tell the same story twice but through differing viewpoints. Certainly the story is not as interesting or as gripping as Dickens more widely read novels and the film could have been improved by cutting and picking up the pace, but I believe the director accomplished his goal.

6.Allnighter starring: Susanna Hoffs, Dedee Pfeiffer, Joan Cusack, John Terlesky, James Shanta
directed by: Tamar Simon Hoffs
October 08, 1987
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

VHS : Allnighter
This movie does not deserve too many words -- it's largely a forgetable, vanity project made by Susanna Hoff's mother, Tamar Hoffs, for her pop singer daughter. It's vacuous and difficult to sit throgh -- at least Beack Blanket Bingo had those Annette and Frankie duets interspersed between the weak plots. And that extended scene with a half-naked Susanna looking in the mirror while Aretha Franklin's Respect plays in the bckground. Respect? No wonder she never got any again after making this atrocious waste of celluloid.

Steve Martin MAKES this movie, he's hilarious and in a role I've never seen him in before!

8.Where the Heart Is starring: Natalie Portman, James Frain, Ashley Judd, Stockard Channing, Joan Cusack

VHS : Where the Heart Is
I love this show. Ashley, Natalie and Stockard was excellent. The name of this movie matches it perfectly. If you have never seen it rent it first and then buy it. It is well worth the money. I strongly believe renting movies first after getting a couple that sucked big time. This is a 10 + Star type of movie.

9.Mr Wrong starring: Ellen DeGeneres, Bill Pullman, Joan Cusack, Dean Stockwell, Joan Plowright

VHS : Mr Wrong
This movie is so funny. Bill Pullman was great in his part. I don't usually buy movies, but this is a keeper.

10.In & Out starring: Kevin Kline, Joan Cusack, Tom Selleck, Matt Dillon, Debbie Reynolds

VHS : In & Out
An amusing and tender-hearted take on self-discovery and acceptance of differences. Every cast member is terrific: Kline at his best, Cusack incredibly funny, Reynolds seniorly sparkling, and Newhart -- well, Newhart.
